Citrus Buy, Sell, & Trade / Looking for honey crisp kumquat

Anyone have scions or a small grafted tree for sale or trade of honey crisp kumquat?

Heres another picture of variegated paulista I forgot I took a while back the leaves were nicer then.

I think it's your best choice yet honestly . Its 100% not red ,scarlet, coronada or sabara. I think for variegated jabos paulista is all that's left for what's in the usa. Hopefully someone can confirm but I think those are the only varieties.

7
The yellowing is from the leaves dying it's usually white/green no yellow variegation. My tree came from the source who initially introduced it to usa a few years ago, I'm not sure theres more than one variation of the variegated paulista yet like we have with some of the other varieties.

8
Heres a close up of a few leaves. The tree looks like hell right now because I moved em all indoors and this year it decided it was gunna shed lol. Should have some better leaves soon buds are starting to push. The new growth is the same color as yours.

It looks alot like my variegated paulista. I could take a pic when I get home.

I would suggest lemon drop as well. My seedling lemon drop fruited in a 3 gal (just up potted to 5 gal where itll stay) and a grafted superior lemon drop is also fruiting in a 3 gal. Imbe could be another choice for you they seem to flower pretty quick even in a small pot.

Not sure the variety of it honestly. Iv had it for 2 or 3 years came from Thailand shipped to me from germany. The spot I had it during the summer I would guess it got 6-7 hrs of full sun and it did fine, havent had it out in all day sun yet.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: How old can be this Grimal Jaboticaba?
« on: September 30, 2025, 06:31:08 PM »
Iv got 2 seedling grimals, one I chopped to keep short the other i let grow both are in 3 gal ~7yrs old. The one I didnt chop flowered around 5-6 yrs old and has been setting fruit for about 1-1.5yrs and I'm still waiting for the chopped one to even flower lol. This could just be a stubborn tree but I'm convinced it was from the chop.

Nice pattern!!! Congrats!

15
You would have to watch for a grafted tree from him.

16
Mozies hybrid is a selected variety from adam at flying fox fruits.

17
The only jaboticaba I was really taken back with in flavor was the mozies. Iv tried quite a few different varieties and they do all have a somewhat common flavor, but the mozies tastes like a sweeter passionfruit easily my favorite jaboticaba!

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Barbados Cherry Tree
« on: August 06, 2025, 05:13:49 PM »
It depends, maybe your taste buds like only sweet. I don't think the fruits on my tree is bad, it doesn't taste like a cherry sweet, but it is not as bad as some other fruits I have tasted. Personal taste.
It's one of my favorite fruit. Some varieties taste much better than others, so if you've tasted one that wasn't that good, you should still try other cultivars.
It's one of my favorites too! Every fruit is subjective to taste. My echo sweet is the only one that has fruited so far it did take about 2 flowerings for it to set fruit. Itll flower like crazy and not set much fruit. I added 3 other varieties to cross pollinate but are still to small to flower enough to make a difference. The echo sweet tastes a bit like a starfruit but without much sweetness I dont think it's that sour but my wife does lol. These are what I look forward to if the birds dont get em first. Just picked some echo sweet a few days ago with some jabos.
