These are a mayong chid (from frankie's import efforts from the 90's).  They're good.  But since then Thailand has been doing some amazing work on cultivating new varieties.  I lost the documents but I found online a Maprang Research Center and they had all these varieties that looked so good.  Plus the most famous variety you can find via English google search (you could probably do better work with chatgpt possibly), Thong Yai (Dragon's egg).  That one I seen on Youtube.  The biggest growing area for maprang is Nakhon Nayat Province few hours north of Bangkok.  Frankie went to try to grab some new varieties to take back to Hawaii a year or two ago, but was not successful. The local growers didn't hear about new varieties or played dumb. Not sure about that one.  So it made me give pause on doing an expedition to find and import maprang varieties back to Hawaii. However, I was able to import some seeds of some other varieties. I gave those away to a few growers here in Hawaii.  But of course as seedlings, that's a gamble, but hey at least it's new genetic stock in Hawaii.

I follow the hastag in thai for Maprang and I get CRAZY pics pulling up on my feed. some of these maprang are pushing 4", 2" across, thin ass seed.  Bonkers.

So in short, I'm selling 'ok' seeds if I had to be honest.  I got too little money, and not enough time exploring to bring back good stuff back to Hawaii. Sigh.

That’s so cool!
So much untapped potential
And I already love maprang
I can’t imagine how a good one tastes
I’ll keep that in the back of my mind
