They could be ornamental hybrids. Could you post closer pictures of the flowers? Thanks!
I had same experience. I even hand pollenated to no avail. Was in denial that the plant may have been mixed up at the nursery. Had it in the ground for 2+ years. Annoyed, that i would have to start over. I tired grafting it but the grafts lingered and then died. Finally, ripped it out. Planted new one first season flowered and fruited without hand pollenation.
I have some rooted cuttings of passion fruit. I grew many seedlings from Brazilian Large yellow out. Kept 2 which set tons of fruit one is purple medium size and the other is yellow large size.I have rooted purple one and a qinmi #9. Also have various 2nd gen offspring seedlings.

Sounds like no rooted yellow, can you take cuttings? How is the purple one? Can you tell me more on qinmi9?

Revivalroots, the purplish color on the outer part of your passion flower petals makes me think it's a hybrid; and probably self sterile. Pure edulis is white on the outer part.
If you want to trade for something, I can send you cuttings of my purple fruit vine, very vigorous, self-pollinating, or the P.decaisneana (needs hand polination). You can see my purple fruit, somethings it gets medium size as shown below, other times it is the size of Frederick but spherical/round.Middle purple fruit: Giant Yellow is Dennis, the other 2 are nullzero's fruits, best tasting is Qinmi#9.I would love to trade with you if you want any pomegranate varieties (cuttings) or just cash for vines. I'm in Mission Viejo.
