Health Benefits of Mango
« on: September 25, 2025, 09:27:47 AM »
Hello all! I have long believed fruit to be a wonderful source of nutrition and beneficial compounds, and have wondered about what one can eat to stay healthy, treat disease, and avoid illness.

Just found this article about mangoes and diabetes risk:

https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2025/09/250925025359.htm

https://www.mdpi.com/2304-8158/14/17/2971

Please post other info about the health benefits of mangoes, mango leaves, etc.

I was also reading about how the nutritional profile of mangoes change, as they go from underripe, to slightly ripe, to full on ripeness. Good things perhaps about all stages. e.g. more vitamin C when underripe and sour.

I know Dr. Campbell has said they're super-healthful!

As a general rule, but not to the point of fanaticism:  Eat lots of fruits and vegetables.  Don't eat processed foods (especially "junk food' and "fast food") and refined carbohydrates.  Exercise.  Spend time outdoors.  You'll be healthy.  :)  (Unless you get exposed to a lot of carcinogens.)

I thought I saw something about that yesterday. Mangos are good for your soul, that's for sure.
