CeeJay Calusa you guys are wasting a ton of energy arguing your points on here.

Last time Im ever making any comments on any left/right subjects online.

All those damn "scientists" and their worthless "PhDs"!  Just trying to make money by scamming us.  Why don't they get real jobs?  >:( >:( >:(

Some of those smartass PHD's are now telling us that climate change is racist. There's no end to the bullshit flowing from academia these days regarding climate change.

It's really about protecting their jobs, keeping the government funding coming in, to fund those paychecks. Tell them what they want to hear. Wonderful arrangement.

Oh, there's much more to it than that but for the sake of this discussion I'll skip it.  ;D

When I was a child it was the ozone layer.

For my parents they were told we were headed for an ice age.

Lots of theories but they keep changing the message.

No doubt the climate will change it always has, but we are still basically idiots when it comes to predicting anything.

The people invested in Green Tech seem have tons to lose if people arent on message.

Similar to what we just went through with big pharma.

Mine is about 6ft and is planted next to Excalibur and thomas.

Seems to be setting a bunch of fruit but reading some of these comments Im hoping for the best.

My white sapotes had tons of issues dealing with full sun.

Once I gave them some shade they took off.

I was getting discouraged the past year.

Can certain types of chips cause problems?

Im guessing its luck of the draw for wood types.

Thanks again for this deal!

Ive tried plastic spike mats, chicken wire around the trees, cayenne pepper, and boulders.

The cats just figure out away to work around whatever I do.

At this point Im just trying to keep them in the backyard.

Amazing mango for sure.

Tropical Fruit Buy, Sell & Trade / Re: FREE: Fruiting Sabara scions

Spoke too soon. Got some new scions in and needed room.

$11 shipped for the handful

I will take them if no one has yet.

Yeah I wish I had an answer John.

Nothing I have really grows like Sugarloaf and I myself would love to find something to add to it.

I want to add M-4 to my Sugarloaf tree.  My understanding is that they should be compatible as far as vigor.  Also, I'm thinking that M-4 is a more reliable producer and will extend the season, and it's also a superb mango.

Very superb combo John! 🤤 not sure about compatibility but definitely wins as far as flavor, production, and season!

M4 is much more vigorous at least in my yard compared to my sugarloaf.

The M4 was planted as a 3 gallon and is easily bigger than the 15 gallon sugarloaf in much less time. Also it grows almost straight up.

So.. what's it like there now?  I'm flying down there in a couple days :-/

Paul Nison changes his mind about plants as much as the wind changes direction.
I know what you're saying.  I don't take anything he says as "Bible truth."  He wants to be an authority on the subject of fruit trees, but the information he presents is always very subjective (including constant mispronunciations).  His heart is in the right place.  The good news: he features Alex Salazar a lot, a true authority who is a really smart and experienced grower, providing accurate and useful information.

Totally agree with everything here.

I also have Maria Black and still waiting for fruit, its only been in the ground for a year from a 7 gallon. Its growing compact thats for sure.

Viejo will be much easier to find.

Ive never seen Flores anywhere in south Florida.

Have you signed up for informed delivery with usps?

Makes it super easy to see everything coming your way.

The variety flavor sounds amazing, just wish I knew more.

Cant wait to see what kind of results this produces at different locations.

Excalibur would be your best bet to try the fruits.

I wish they knew what was what with most of the fruit they put up. I go all the time and I cant say they ever knew the variety of the jackfruit they had for sale.

Is this a seedling, or graft?

What variety?

What is the weather like in your area?
