WTB : mango in Orlando
« on: March 20, 2022, 11:51:51 AM »
New home and looking to plant 2 trees, ideally with different profiles and fruiting seasons. I’d like one coconut profile (m4, coconut cream or m4) and the other, whatever does well inland I guess.

Lukas nursery gets some Mallika, lemon zest and Pickering, but a 25gal is $400, so I’m hoping a local enthusiast may have some other options or tips? I don’t want to start from sapling, but maybe would buy one more established tree and then a sampling for later fruiting.

You could look here next Saturday in West Palm Beach.

The Brevard Tropical Fruit Club is having their tree & plant sale in April (I think Saturday, April 23) at the Melbourne Auditorium.

If you don't mind taking a drive, head south to see Mike at TreesNMore in Palm city, he usually has a nice variety at great prices.  Or contact Nick's edibles in St. Cloud he had a few 15 gallon size trees a few weeks back.   I can get you phone numbers for either of those if you need.

WPB would be tough but the brevard one is possible, and you have the date correct: https://brevardtropicalfruitclub.com/

I just wonder if Orange County has its own version of this?

I’ll check nick’s, about an hour south. Thanks!

Hey,
I have a small nursery in Orlando area and would be happy to supply you with some trees. I have m-4 and several other varieties that do well this far inland. Give me a shout!
