I was at PapayaTreeNursery earlier and bought the expensive Lucuma (pecan pie) variety & states it is the best moist type.

***Per Alex Silber, his father received a numbered variety from a university in Lima, Peru.
They did all the selective work. My father had built a rapport with a man in charge of that effort, and that man generously gifted the material to my father for an evaluation here in California.
