tip of main root cut by accident -_-
« on: December 16, 2021, 12:19:11 PM »
so my porcelia nitidifolia(from farwell) has germinated and there was something coming out of the bottom of the vase and i just snip it off by instinct thinking it was a pebble or something but then i realized it's the tip of the main root. oops not sure if that will kill it :( but hopefully not.

Not a worry, I've snapped off huge portions of roots at times and plant always bounces back. I actually used a wood hand saw to cut off 25% of the rootball of a pineapple guava twice this year (pot into pot or pot into ground) and both times the plant came back FLYING.
