Places to visit for a worldwide tour of rare tropical fruit farms
Daintree:
My husband and I love to travel.
I love rare tropical fruits. Hubby tolerates my weirdness in this respect wonderfully.
So I am starting to compile a list of rare tropical fruit farms and botanical gardens, worldwide.
Then, when we travel to a certain area, I have already scoped out all of the great locations.
I have missed some great places because I didn't research well enough before a previous trip. But no more!
Suggestions please!
Here is what I have on my tiny list so far -
Florida USA, Grimal Grove on Big Pine Key, Fairchild, Fruit and Spice Park,
Australia, Botanical Ark in Mossman QLD
Costa Rica, Paul Zink's place
Singapore, Singapore Botanical Gardens
Cheers,
Carolyn

I think Kampong, Fairchilds home is a really fun place to visit with lots of cool 100+ year old tree’s and just and amazing setting on Biscayne bay.

I liked the visit to Kampong too. Really cool property. The baobab taking a nap on its side but still living is fascinating.
Mounts Botanical Garden was really nice at the mango festival this year, I hope to go back again next year.
The Fullerton Arboretum is cool in CA, hope to explore that one some more.
We'll see what happens with the local Bucket Brigade garden here in SB. I have a few interesting trees there, and may go crazy planting more if they give me a dedicated exotic area.

Exotica Rare Fruit Nursery is probably the coolest place near San Diego Ca. Its an overgrown jungle of unusual stuff.

I see that you're going to the Botanical Arc in Queenslad, Australia. I have never visited, but I have heard of another place in QLD called Fruit Forest Farm in a place called Mission beach - 2 hours south of Cairns.
If you get time to visit the beautiful states of New South Wales (I doubt it, but I'll mention it anyway), you should visit Tropical Fruit World. They grow like 500 fruits, and they do a great tour that I have done many times.
