<< < (2/3) > >>

NatAp22:
Your Kishu looks amazing Millet! Yes sir...this just make it that more exciting for next year once again lol. At least I can focus only on the health of the tree for this year! I will for sure next year try to incorporate a lot of used eggshells into the soil layer for calcium...I think that's one of the main nutrient it might be missing.

Millet:
NapAp22,  that Kishu is not my tree, it is Brian tree.  He does a fantastic job with his citrus trees.

NatAp22:
Ahhhh oh my goodness thanks for the correction! Brian sir that tree is amazing :) haha!

Raretype:
My experience with fruit drop is that the fruit was not pollinated. This will result in a fruit that aborts before reaching maturity. If you ever go camping near a black walnut tree in late June you will hear fruits being aborted and crashing to the ground during the calm of the night.

Also, never fertilize your trees after fruit set. Especially with nitrogen. This will cause fruit to fall as well.

Kevin Jones:
I fertilize my Kishus regularly year-round and have plenty of fruit with no fruit drop.
Give them a little chicken poop occasionally as well. Water them daily with municipal water.
I hand pollinate with an artist's brush and encourage the bumble bees to help out.
Possibly some kind of stress or self-preservation action to cause the aborted fruit.
