For anyone that has an issue with your order, please reach out and don’t react like Iceman. I can assure you that I’ve eaten countless beans off this tree along with many others and I’ve never heard them described as Iceman has described them. But I would imagine that most of us fruit growers understand there is variability within fruits, and unfortunately, I can’t sample the fruit before I send it. What I can do is assure you that I do my best to determine when it is ready to pick and that they are cut fresh and shipped so that they arrive the same way that I packaged them. I appreciate all of your support and will continue to do my best when offering anything to you guys.

Thank you!
This is refreshing and nice to see. Hopefully they do not get ignored  and invalidated like i did about my exexperience with you. If you ignore them as well, be prepared for them to also post their experiences here, so at least acknowledge them in their private messages. Taking accountability for selling bland fruit would be the right thing to do and I hope that you do right by every else after this. Cheers

Ulterior motive??? Since your uppity attitude justifies your behavior? Do you just walk around like this all day? On a pedestal?
Like I said my first time trying them or even buying from this futon member. Not sure what ulterior motive you would be referring to other than comming decency in a community. A touch up on the old Oxford might help you clarify yourself so people don’t think you are just whining and you can clearly articulate yourself.

You sound silly. Better luck next time,  seems like you were on your first purchase ever.

As for other forum members
I would keep a note of you and not sell anything to you in the future

Uppity? Wow, everyone with common sense probably sounds Uppity to you. What is my behavior? Having a bad experience, voicing my opinion via pm, getting ignored, then voicing my opinion in the post to help other people avoid this $40 pitfall as well? If you think that is bad behavior, you need to grow up and think like an adult. You don't know how I "walk around" my friend. I think I articulated my experience and opinion very well, but it takes a certain level of intelligence to understand. I have bought from over 20 ppl from mango boxes, fruit trees(received one this week, thank you Vincent), and scions all with great experiences. You should not talk on topics you do not know about young grasshopper.... there is nobody in here saying" thank you for the ice cream beans, they were great!" for a reason. As I said, have fun with your bland/flavorless fruit 😉

Hmm I think your reaction is a bit strong, like rude and childish. You decided to try something you haven’t had before. Chances of not liking something at all are high, and just because you don’t like it doesn’t make the product bad enough for a refund, which it seems you are beating around the bush for. considering you got what you payed for and just wasn’t happy with it yet afraid to say you don’t like it. Funny

“Not saying that they taste bad, just saying they have no taste”  just say you don’t like it and take a note.

It’s a common thing to have buyers remorse. I’m sure it isn’t your first time. The beans aren’t guaranteed to make you reach the van Allen radiation belt . They are guaranteed to be ice cream beans. Maybe keep an open mind ask the variety and try a different one next time. Or just stay away from them all together considering they might all be similar flavor profile or lacking there of.

Anyway I have a box coming soon and it’s also my first time trying. I’m sure my experience will be better after reading this my expectations have lowered hahaha
Well I am glad that you now have a lowered expectation being that you are were suckered too and paid for them, enjoy tastelessness lol 😆.
As soon as I read your comment about being rude and childish, I knew that there was an alterior motive here, and that was disclosed later in your response, being one of his customers. Again, its not that I do not like the taste of ice cream beans, its that I received beans with no taste, someone with common sense can understand that. Anyway, enjoy what your hard earned $40 just got you 😉. BTW, it is paid, not payed. Im not wanting or expecting a refund, but some acknowledgement via the pm i sent, which was ignored. Hopefully someone else(other than you obviously), will be saved from wasting their money.

I'd suggest holding off of purchasing these ice cream beans folks. I received mine yesterday and they have no flavor and no sweetness. Waste of my $40 😞. I even brought some to work so my coworkers can try them(they've never had ice cream beans) and they all said they were bland with no taste 🤦🏽. It's not my taste buds that are off

Would you like me to try them first before sending to you? You gave me 24 hours to respond, really? You didn’t like the fruits. It’s as simple as that. I sent you perfectly fine pods and they arrived in perfect condition. What more do you want from me?

Lol wow, first off ice cream beans aren’t bursting with flavor. They are mild little treats and I’m not sure anyone sits there and eats a bowl of them. You’re obviously free to speak your mind but jeez, just shut me down like that… awesome.
I sent you a private message about it and gave you 24 hours to respond giving you a chance before putting my feedback here, but that did not happen. I left the rest of the beans in the box incase you wanted them back, but I did not hear from you.  I saw that you were active here all day, so there were chances to get back to me, but crickets. To be honest, these cannot be considered a treat. There is no sweetness or flavor at all, not enjoyable, and $40 down the drain. Some people try to make a bad situation right(which is why I pmed you), but there was not even a response to my message. Ah well

Was there something that I did wrong here? I sent you a perfect box of ice cream beans. You’re acting like I’ve done something wrong here. I’ve had many people eat them and enjoy them. Just because you didn’t like them doesn’t mean you should act like this. I eat different fruit all the time and obviously some I like and some I don’t.
Not saying they taste bad, im saying that they have no taste. Paying $40 for something that has no taste is off-putting and disappointing. I guess what was done wrong was selling fruit with no taste and ignoring my private message about my bad experience, offering no resolution or even concern. I love all fruits, that actually have flavor. Same goes for my coworkers that tried them as well.
As a seller, you should know your product and that it is flavorless, and decide not to sell them to people, and be accountable for us purchasing them and losing out on $40. Pretty simple. There is clearly no accountability here.

I think Angie is nasty. Ive tried it a few times. One time it was pretty good, the rest of the times it tasted kind of musky/not pleasant. I'll pass

I ordered my jamaica mamey back in January of 2024 also and just got mine today. Plant is in great shape! Just put it in my screen enclosed lanai away from direct sun since it has only one growth flush that just recently hardened.
I also ordered mine in January of 2024 and at first I was told 2-3 months, then he made a YouTube video with Paul saying all orders from January will ship in 2-3 weeks(did not happen), then ill have it in the summer, then bumped into him at the mango festival and asked him for an update and he told me before the end of the year. Asked him early January 2025 and got a sarcastic/rude response where he just copied and pasted an earlier response. Here in pretty much May 2025 and not a peep from him. If you order from him, be prepared to wait over 1.5 years to receive your tree, so be prepared to be disappointed, even if he gives you a good eta originally 😞. I purchased a lorito 1g mamey from him that I believe was recently grafted(pretty fresh buddy tape) and died. Pretty sure it was not ready and stable enough to go out, probably best to get 3g or bigger, not these 1g trees he is selling.
Edit: forgot to add that i also got a 1g green sapote from him which was another fresh graft, that died shortly after....😥 buyer beware

The tree ripened fruit was a little creamier than the one i picked hard, but not a big difference-this is definitely a fruit you can pick hard after the first one ripens

Looks do good! My tree just defoliated, hoping for these new flushes to have some flowers

Very interesting. My whole family is from. Belize(im born and raised in NYC, now In Orlando). I have a decently large San Pablo that has not even flowered yet. Interesting to know that it comes from my county! My uncle Henry Murphy owned one of the keys off of Belize called tobacco caye. I might need to go back and bring some different custard apple varieties back 🧐

Iceman - can San Pablo custard apple be grown in Orlando? Is it tolerant of our winter temperatures here, or does it need significant protection?

Yes it can. Mine has grown significantly in the last 3 years(got it from a nursery in Tampa). I have no die off after leaving it outside for 3 winters with no protection.

Man, once again I need to pay better attention to what is going on in my yard. Apparently my seedling Baptiste flowered and set a fruit already--the first fruit of the 2025 season?!?!

I'm not sharpening the knife for this one; just laughing that the tree got this far without me being aware at all. In my defense, this tree likes to flower in the canopy, which is where this fruit is.

I gotta put my fingers on a diet.
That fruit will drop unfortunately. There are a lot of dark spots all over it and it is already yellowing at the stem 😔

I can't handle the my4sons sprayer but glad to hear it's a great tool.  Enjoy it :)
Soon as this rain ends i'll be out there trying my diy agitator & gardenhose syphon.
Question- how much sulfur/gal are ya'll spraying on open flowers?
Before rain started i looked & Maha Chanok's are slightly.  Others very soon.
Thanks
2 tablespoons per gal

I have a my4sons sprayer coming in today, with agitator :-), right on time(not cheap!!!). Looks like we are getting some rain tomorrow, so I plan on using this baby to spray sulfur on my emerging blooms on Monday, can't wait!

I have been friends with Vic and Lou since around the time they first started WWC. I moved to England for a few years and came back to be one of their managers(over 6 years now). It's no coincidence that I live in Orlando lol. I basically make the rules and policies for the company and am in charge of sales and customer service as well. These guys are like brothers to me. Do you plan on coming to Orlando anytime soon? If so, give me a heads up and I will give you a grand tour of our newer coral farm and office! We've expanded a few years ago  8)

Used to be heavy into sps and lps mixed reef, now have a 29g with a few fish, anemones, and duncans. Kids took over. Turned the yard into the reef, and I am now the fish.

At least you are still into the hobby. Acros are my favorite coral. I might have the largest collection of acros in the world.
It's crazy that reefers are a lot of the time, fruit tree growers. A lot of the same knowledge applies, such as grafting.
You ever order corals from World Wide Corals (WWC)?

Earlier in the thread, a different product was suggested by Pneuma.  The advantage was that it atomized the spray (mist) and would use less product.

Has anyone compared product use per unit area for this sprayer against a fodder/mister which atomizes the spray?

I looked at that and other products. Not sure, but seems to me that without an agitator, you still would not be able to uniformly spray sulfur. Water or oil soluble ingredients probably would be fine.

Wonder how hard it would be to install your own agitator? Gotta a couple of old aquarium pumps that could do the job. Great for mixing salt with RODI water to make saltwater for marine tanks, could handle some sulfur for sure.

Just saw this, Rob, do you have a reef tank or fish only?

Me too! About a week ago, they all started coming up. By now about 80% have germinated, and even more are coming. I don't know what to do with this many guava children...

Just for fun, here's a tricotyledon!

Well, I'd be interested in buying a seedling or two from you once they are bigger 😉
