Takes a lickin' and comes back tickin'....
You have to be prepared for all possibilities when you hand your babies over to complete strangers.
Glad your plants are OK Emir... even though they were apparently shipped in the same load with a bunch of Acme Anvils and Reject Bowling Balls.
Thanks again for your support Emir... and Good Luck!

The Thai dwarf mulberries I got from Kevin are growing like crazy and are fruiting prolifically. I keep pinching most of the fruit off so they'll concentrate on growth, but they just set more fruit. Thanks Kevin! D

When they do eventually finish fruiting... be sure to cut it back hard and fertilize it well.
You'll be rewarded with another flush of fruit as amazing as the first one.
And be sure to root those cuttings... super easy too... for more plants to share!
Thanks and Good Luck!

PITANGATUBAS x 3  . . .

Kevin sent these Pitangatubas well packaged and they arrived lightning quick and in excellent condition.

They are sturdy plants which were impressively multi-branched and about 12+ inches tall in 3-in pots.

The lot of them went right into 1 gallon pots and were parked in some shade to acclimate to Florida for a couple weeks.

Very pleased with this vendor and will buy from Kevin again.

Cheers!

Hello, can you describe more about the flavor of your cedar bay cherries? Are they from seed?
Looking for something smaller, evergreen, drought tolerant with decent tasting fruit. Thanks in advance!

I'm wondering the same thing. Turns out I have a fruiting CBC. Flavor is good, but a bit mild. A sweeter version would be excellent, as it is nice. Is there much variability in seedling fruit? Do you have scions of a choice selection. Thanks!

Mine are all seedlings. Sounds like they are similar to yours Roblack.
I have 2 mother plants growing in 20 gallon nursery bags.
Right now covered in flowers and buds.
The fruits typically have a meaty texture with a light-vanilla flavor... and like many other fruits are best when perfectly ripe. They will take on a glossy bright red appearance and easily detach from the plant.
I would say they are easy to keep on the smallish size. More of a shrub than a tree really.
And like most Eugenias... their seeds will germinate easily while fresh.

Thanks for the info Kev.

Haven't noted a vanilla flavor in mine. It has a berry flavor that leaves a pleasant aftertaste, just mild. The fruits are a dry and mealy when underripe, but when fully ripe are a little moist. So it seems there is some variability.

Agree, some TFF photos show a more pointed fruit. Here are some perfectly ripe fruit from a couple of my trees.

How tricky to graft are those calycina?  I have about 0 experience, but I have a knife and some grafting tape.

Not tricky at all.
I use a basic cleft graft with tape and clips (Clothes Pins).
