My tree had a few for the first time. They shriveled up as they ripened off the tree, but were still edible. Is that normal? Flavor was good but nothing phenomenal.
Good to know ! It's probably Hass Then..Ed
I'll give the tree a few more years to establish itself, but if it doesn't improve, it will be top-worked.
I just harvested one oro negro from my tree. I thought it was excellent.

ON by the time it gets soft if may be over ripe and starts shivering. Also if they get picked too early they don't ripen and shiver.
Meant thick

Much better varieties and/or fruit to take up thst space.

Also this year I detected some post harvest fungal problems as well with the same spray program as my Monroe which keep the Monroe super clean
