Hello all.  Im wanting to try some fall grafting of atemoyas.  If anyone has Hilary White and Carcarlo Reticulata or any atemoyas they are needing to prune.  We would like to graft some.  Hilary White, Pinks M, Leo #2, and a couple of others failed in the spring and we would like to try again now.  We can trade cuttings or I can pay for them. Let me know what you have.  Currently growing Gefner, Dream, Leo #3, Lisa, Super AP, ONG Bumpy, Priestly, C. Island, ONG Ruby Red

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Maria Black avovado
« on: May 25, 2023, 08:27:12 PM »
Does anybody know the story behind this avocado.  I remember someone talking about it a few years back but I can't find it.  We just picked up a couple small 1 gallon.  And trying to find the backstory.  I know it's a dwarf variety and that it produces large black avocados. I remember the founders name was actually "Maria Black" if im not mistaken.TIA

Looking to trade for a annona crassiflora seedling or another rare annona.  I have a couple available, so let me know what you have.  These are nice size and fast growers, planted the seeds in December. (I think).  Growing outside in central Florida.  I'll ship, as long as it's allowed by your state.
We also have some smaller Ross sapote seedlings

Hi all

I just want to remind everyone to always provide a tracking number or at least let someone know when you are mailing out something so they know to check the mailbox.  Our mailbox is across the street and we normally don't check the mail.  This is the second weekend In a row someone sent us scions and they have sat in the mailbox all weekend because we were not notified they had shipped.  I'm not calling nobody out, I'm just reminding everyone.

Thanks and happy growing,
Stela G

« on: December 22, 2022, 01:38:37 PM »
We are expecting some freezing Temps this weekend so  we just had to cut a couple of branches in order to cover our tree.  Scions are available for trade if anyone is interested in trying their luck on winter grafting.  We grafted a few weeks ago some annonas and they are starting to push.  If your trees are already dormant we can trade for future scions in spring.  Looking for atemoya or other named variety reticulata scions.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Isan Indigo/geffner cross is flowering.
« on: May 09, 2022, 06:15:59 PM »
As the title says my small Isan cross is flowering.
We received this small seedling last year in a trade.  It was only 3-4" tall.  One of 2 actually but the other was doa.  Matt you still owe me a backup. 😆 Anyway I noticed yesterday that it had a few flowers on it, so I wanted to share with you all.  I'm surprised to see it flowering at such a young age.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Genova Red Ilama graft update
« on: April 05, 2022, 08:47:20 PM »
We grafted a few Gen. Red Ilama scions on different rootstocks.  Cheimoya, soursops, sugar apple and so far they all look good.  This one is the farthest one along in a 2 gallon cherimya seedling.  We grafted a Lisa atemoya at first and then realized we didn't have enough seedlings so this one ended up with 2 grafts and they are both looking good.  Hopefully they continue to grow.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Pitomba
« on: March 27, 2022, 10:55:59 PM »
We picked up a Pitomba today in a trade.  Can anyone tell me how long before we can expect it to flower?  Originally from Pine Island but I am unsure if the nursery or just the general location. 🤔
