Based on that link it doesn't appear "stature" is meant for use on edibles.Do they have a specific one for edibles?

My new mango I had shipped has a dark brown portion on the main stem while the rest remains lime green. Anything to be concerned about?

Jackfruit seeds sprout super easy and quick! I've grown many plants from store bought jacks.

If people want to grow GMO's it should be in a contained environment as to not contaminate non GMO crops. It will take a long time before the effects of these Franken foods will be known.

Unfortunately, Whole Foods has better produce than most other supermarkets (at least where I am). I can find decent produce in specialty markets but nothing beats local or homegrown obviously.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Air-Pot question
« on: February 19, 2018, 06:45:44 PM »
I just bought air pots this year. I've heard very mixed reviews on them. I used fabric pots the last few years and hate them. They look ugly and sit right. They need to propped off the ground as the roots grow right through. Anyway, the air pots are much more sturdy looking.  As of now I still prefer terracotta.

Thanks for all the replies. All new leafs are sprouting so I'm going to see if those leaves come in healthy. I may have found the cause. The first year I had it, the main trunk broke. I cut as much as I could off but a stub remained. This stub dug itself into the new main trunk turning that area black.

I cut as much of that old stem back as much as possible and made a baking soda paste to deal with the small area of fungus. No idea if that will work but I'm trying.

If not I may spray a fungicide though I'm reluctant to use anything too toxic. What's the best fungicide for a fungus that's already present as opposed to just preventative?

Temps are in the high 70s where I keep it. It was outdoors all summer so I gather it picked up the fungal spores outdoors. All new growth has ceased unfortunately now unfortunately.

My soursop tree is infected with a fungus that has caused it to defoliate and all remaining leaves are infected. It also had scale that I eradicated. My question is how can I treat this fungus and with what?

Thank for the reply. Indeed but I noticed the new growth tips are turning brown. There are also small brown spots appearing in the centers of the leaves. I'm being very careful to only water when the soil is dry and daily misting.

My coconut palm appears to have browning fronds. It is progressing very slowly but want to stop it. Any ideas on a cause?
