I am fairly sure Dekopon is seedless. I tried some fruits in Japan, but I never found seeds.

Only nearly seedless. Sometimes it contains seed.

A few people have gotten seeds out of Sumo fruit in Australia. You just need to buy a lot of fruit. You could be lucky, but the rate is probably one seed in 20 to 30 fruit.

i think there are 3 sources of these Shiranui budwood that is being sold from the UCR CCPP budwood. I have 2-3 of their budwood types and they seem to have the same type of fruits (either no seeds, or some seeds) on the fruits. So, I have a few grafted branches that has fruits with seeds in every fruit, my other grafted branches have fruits with no seeds in any fruits. I read in an old post that somone grew seeds and when the tree had fruits, most fruits had seeds while other seedling trees were seedless. I did plant 5 seeds from sumo a few years ago and now the plants have grown to about 3-4ft tall, hope it eventually gets some fruit to compare the fruits with the true budwood grafts.

So if you get some seed I am very much interested. Btw I was not able to buy a Sumo fruit here in Germany.

Just to follow up on the Sumo seeds. I mentioned this in some other posts before, but of my 3 accessions from UCR budwood that I have purchased and grafted, I get seeds in one of the three regularly.

I just started picking some ripe fruits since we have been getting strong Santa Ana winds lately. No smoke/fire in my town, but I did pick some sumo fruits from my grafted branch that gives seeds in each fruit, and they do have many seeds again. I'll post some photos of the two accessions, one rarely has any seeds, and the other one always has seeds.

It would be better to buy plants in Italy. Σscar Tintori or Agrumi Lenzi are good producers of collectible citrus fruits. They also sell throughout the European Union.

My understanding is that Sumo is more seeded when it cross pollinates with other citrus trees. If it's self pollinated, it'll be seedless or almost seed free.
Continuing my journey to disprove those who say "You can't grow that in the desert" since 2013.

Yes, cultivars are available from several nurseries in France.

I’m attaching a photo of the mother tree at the nursery where I bought mine, along with a picture of a fruit from my own plant.
