Some photos and descriptions:
Best jaboticaba season is October to April.
* (sep 2021). Jaboticaba de Campo Ramón (Plinia sp.) . Wavy elongated leaves. Fruits are up to 3.5cm diameter, very good sweet taste (It has tones of maraschino cherries). This kind of jaboticabas use to grow faster than sabará and other species, they resist at least -5º or -6ºC frosts (21º F) I tested 5 feet tall trees at my parents weekend house in the last winter at -6ºC (21º F). The mother tree is 25 years old and started bearing at just 5 years old at Misiones!, (that's what the collector said, they take special care of the tree because its early bearing feature)

Among our native fruit trees we can find several species of the Psidium genus that provide excellent tasting fruits with exceptional nutritional properties. These are rustic trees that appreciate the sun, good irrigation and resist, in different degrees, frost, wind, ponding and drought. The ideal temperature for germination is between 20º C to 27º C (68ºF/80ºF), so it is recommended, in cold weather, germinate inside the home (after soaking for 24 hours), take care of them near a window and bring seedlings outdoors in autumn / winter to a greenhouse with half shade or during the spring in the shade. Then they should get used to the morning sun or half shade. When they exceed 25cm in height we can give them full sun. It is advisable to water abundantly during the flowering and fruiting season. They usually produce their first fruits between 3 and 5 years old.
* (next stock: feb 2022) Ñangapiré negro (Eugenia repanda) March 2020. First fruiting. Fruit tree native to the La Plata River Basin in danger of extinction ... Unjustly endangered given its beauty and good taste similar to cherries / plums, as a special feature it supports the shade very well and can bear fruit in that condition . Resists -7ºC. Little stock for now, just 20 seeds! We will have more in 1 month.

Very tasty and rare arazás are starting to ripe here! this is the Psidium season
* Arazá serrano (Psidium longipetiolatum) (feb-march 2020) Very rare psidium, similar to strawberry guava but hardy to -7 or -8º C, bigger leaves and taller tree. I like it more than strawberry guava: deeper citrusy taste, the skin is harder. This is my favourite Psidium now along with P. robustum and hybrid Psidium; it has stronger taste. Climate: tropical, subtropical, temperate.

16/dic 2019, Two new unidentified jaboticaba species/varieties from Argentina (near P. jaboticaba maybe), frost hardy to -6ºC or so, fruiting in subtropical and temperate climate now:
* Jaboticaba Luján (Plinia sp.) . Taste is a bit different to other jabos I tasted (sabara, red, serrana, campo ramon, eldorado gota, inta, etc.), juicy, delicious and sweet, good seed to pulp ratio, well balanced taste, black fruits (not redish) up to 2.6cm diam, I will do icecreams soon. Fruiting in temperate climate! Not precocious. Marco Lacerda wrote about this jabo "Very unusual. Distinct from P. jaboticaba, P. trunciflora, P. cauliflora and several others. I'd approach it to P. oblongata and to Pingo de Mel (Honey Drop), however distinct from both due to the semi-persistent rounded sepals at the calyx."

* Mistol from Cordoba (Zizipus mistol) ,mixed flavor between chocolate and raisins. It is another excellent fruit native to the grasslands of Argentina. Frost hardy to -7ºC or so. Its fruits can be tasted raw or we can do the mistol coffee by means of a process by which the seeds are discarded in a mill and the pulp of the fruits previously dried in the sun are grounded.

Wet climate Offer (all seeds perfectly preserved in wet vermiculite in the fridge):
New Psidium sp. for sale!
* Arazá banana Very rare. Unknown origin, precocious fruit, begins to produce at 2 years old in pot, late production (end of autumn). Very good flavor, reminiscent of a mixture between banana, pear, lemon and guava, the skin is flavorful and crispy. Small seeds that do not bother the palate. It may be similar to the arazá-johvy, but we can not confirm that it is Psidium australe or another Psidium exactly. We think it could be Central American, but we can not affirm it either; the new shoots of leaves are brownish, which can mean that it resists frosts of between -3 to -6ºC. Limited stock.

Hi, I have VERY good news, Jaboticaba seeds are on the way and we will be able to send them anywhere in just a few days.
As soon as you reserve yours it will be better because fresh moist seeds are viable for a short time. My advice is to buy now as soon as possible, before they run out, the stock is limited and the quality is top.
Jaboticaba serrana and Campo Ramón:

New jaboticabas keep coming; we have to check this one, maybe a new variety, from San Ignacio, Misiones. Short leaf, very good sweet juicy taste!

Hey! I have new varieties or species! The Eldorado 2 INTA is different in taste to all I knew, subtle cofee tones, very juicy and sweet, 15º Brix or more. From all the jaboticaba species I tasted, maybe this one is the more similar to grapes.
(https://i.postimg.cc/D4hqnX75/Huertasurbanas-com-Arbol-jpeg-20211007-124549-Eldorado2.jpg) (https://postimg.cc/D4hqnX75)

The ones from San Ignacio are very good too!: I think this species is relative to Sabará:

Amazing fruits, seeds are available for order; shippings of this varieties will be ready to send anywhere in 15 to 20 days or so. I will be sending by FedEx with Phytocertificate (then, standard shipping) as soon as I clean and apply fungicide.
Cheers

Hi, super good news: Jaboticaba de Campo Ramón and Jaboticaba Serrana seeds are available to send from USA to anywhere now!

So we will be sending by USPS and cleaning more seeds, cheers

Is Serrana different from Campo Ramon? I noticed Campo Ramon is a town in the highlands (serrana) of Misiones, and they look very similar. Is the phytosanitary certificate free with purchase? Thank you for posting this beautiful video btw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blmkB9E58ng
Edit: One more question, do your Jua Acu survive frost, or overwinter inside? I'm not sure if I should plant these in the ground now, or wait until spring. It will get down to about -3c here in a few months.

Hi: very thanks for writing, and I am loving the fact that you are growing these species successfully:
Jaboticaba Serrana from Oberá should be the same species as Campo Ramón (I think so); yes, they grow near, different trees.
Regarding the cost of the phytosanitary: you should not worry about it, in part that cost, which is high, I distribute it among the different buyers when I charge this or that thing for the cost of shipping.
As this is the first time we have done it this way, the costs may vary a bit. I'm glad you liked the video of the jaboticaba serrana, yes, it is a beauty.
Take good care of your jua açú from frost: with -1ºC it could feel bad ... mine loses all its leaves and branches die in some winter ... not during this winter because it was mild, but during the previous winter. When it grows up, something will hardly kill it: it grows very fast and becomes entangled in anything: be careful, it may be better to leave it in a pot because, once planted, it is VERY difficult to control if you have a small garden.

Very thanks!
For all rainforest species: I would just plant them in a good moist soil and wait 20 to 90 days for them to sprout (64ºF to 86ºF, 18ºC to 30ºC), in the shade; no summer sun when small, good water if possible (rain, acid), or without chlorine; use acid soil with sphagnum moss or river peat with nice forest leaves or similar, garden soil, something that drains well like perlite or vermiculite, some organic matter ... I would later add manure, not when I sow. Never let it dry.
For araticus, jaboticabas, eugenias, campomanesias, psidium, guaviyú, pacurí, bunchosia, etc. (rainforest species):
Be very careful with the direct sun in summer or when it is very hot, get accustomed to the shade and never lack water. They could take full sun when taller than 2 feet or 60cm or so, before that, use morning sun or half shade (not too hot from the afternoon heat). Psidium and Campomanesias would support more sun, but take care: if they dont like your soil and/or dont have enough watering, they will suffer with more sun. Bunchosia needs a lot of shade.
(For dry seeds: soak for two days before planting.)
Good luck and keep in touch!, I will be posting here for seeds:

We present for the first time in history a very rare jaboticaba never seen in Argentina, the mother tree lives near a small city called "Piray 18" (as its inhabitants call it), at Misiones, a place of enormous biological diversity. This plant grows near the stream called Piray Guazú, which flows into the great Paraná River.
The tree produces fruits only once a year, they are juicy and sweet, the skin is thick and acidic, the leaves are large too (but not the elongated type as Serrana or Campo Ramón). It is a unique opportunity given that the collector lives in the middle of the jungle, far from big cities, in places that are frequently flooded by rains, with which we will not know if we will have fruits in future seasons. In fact, the owner of the tree is an old local who does not even know how to take photos with his cell phone, so we still do not have photos of the tree, but we do have its leaves since he has taken some branches to my friend so that she can take some photos .
Something special about the size of its fruits is that all fruits are large: it does not produce smaller fruits.
For all these reasons and due to the limited stock is that this Giant Jaboticaba is offered at a special price. For purchases in greater quantity, there are discounts, and free shipping for this species from 10 or more seeds. Each seed, USD 15.

You can make your reservations now, we will be sending the seeds in 15 to 20 days counting from today, that is, by the beginning of November we should make the first shipments of this species.
This is its landscape:

New jaboticaba found!
Corrientes is an Argentine province that borders Misiones to the north, that is, it contains some of the southernmost native forests with subtropical fruit trees that exist in our country. For this reason, it is possible that these jaboticabas have some special adaptation to winter frosts. The leaves look similar to others related to P. jaboticaba, but in this case more elongated. The fruits are medium in size, very sweet and juicy. These are fruits obtained from different trees of the native forest in the wild, not cultivated. These species or varieties must be saved from extinction due to land clearing by planting soybeans and grazing for livestock.

About our project: "huertasurbanas" focuses on rescuing fruit and medicinal species from the jungles of Argentina (grassland ecoregions, rain forest, etc.) before deforestation puts them into extinction. For this reason, our focus is on rare species, often not fully described by science, whose scientific names do not yet exist. To conserve genetic diversity, we obtain seeds from trees from different locations within the same province or region, which sometimes belong to the same species (or we suspect it), but perhaps they have some evolutionary advantage, that is: they can be varieties with slight genetic modifications. Sometimes we do not have complete information on this or that variety or species, but we do our best to gather as much information in photos and data from locals. Sometimes the trees are in places far from the cities, with difficult access, so it cannot be guaranteed that in all the coming seasons we will find those seeds again.

Hello, have you seen other jaboticabas with this kind of persistent calix on the fruit? This is new to me, I had never tried it: the taste is different from the others, less acidic, sweet with a very interesting juice, strawberry and grape tones. The fruits are not large (1.5 to 2.5cm diam.), The trees are native to the Corrientes jungle and bear 5 kg of fruit at most; the fruit has 2 or 3 seeds for each one but the flavor is really worth it and the skin is thin. It is a new flavor of jaboticaba different from what I have tried from Misiones: similar to San Ignacio jaboticaba but different taste.

We have a rare guamirim! limited stock. The collector sold them to me as grumixama but, in fact, it is maybe Eugenia florida, very tasty ones.
-
All species ready to send, please be patient, it was hard to send to the USA this time.
We are shipping from the USA now.
-
We sent 11 packages today, there are more to go out in the next few days.
-
Take the opportunity, we have very rare species currently on the list: E. florida, Plinia rivularis, E. hiemalis, several jaboticabas native to Argentina, many special ones and several other species that are not easy to move from Argentina to all parts of the world.
-
We are having a fantastic "vacation" but still working! trees don't take vacations, they don't know what Christmas or New Year is ... the fruits fall to the ground and the seeds have to be preserved: here we have a new source, certified seeds.
I bring you 2 new Plinias: a completely new one from Misiones, and the other that I had also obtained in 2020 from Luján, Buenos Aires (temperate climate!), producing 1,300 km south of the original jungle, with a much colder climate. So it's lucky to have been able to get Jaboticaba from Luján again as well.
Plinia peruviana:
They were harvested and preserved by a forestry engineer from Misiones, officially identified as Plinia peruviana. It is the first time that we have a Plinia species officially identified by a scientist: I am not saying that it is the first time that we have this species (I dont know), but that it is the first time that a Plinia seed from Misiones has been obtained with identification and certification from a state agency.
Note: this is not the Peruvian jaboticaba that I have been selling in the last 3 months (whose scientific identification we do not know), this is another one, with a smaller, non-elongated leaf (it is another species, definitely).

Luján Jaboticaba:
Since it has been cultivated in a temperate climate, with long periods of cold in winter, this seems a particularly good species to withstand the cold. Sweet and juicy fruits with which we will make ice cream shortly.

The seeds will be available for worldwide shipping after proper cleaning, fungicide treatment and international shipping, which will take a few weeks. We think that by January 15 or 20 we will be able to send them everywhere from the USA. But now you can make your reservations immediately, the stock is limited.

Wow, thanks for reporting it, and congratulations!
Where them 5 seeds of the Orange Eugenia sp.? That's a very rare one!
Just today I ate some black COTRG fruits: I am surprised that the taste varies from year to year, last year they were very tasty, this time they were more insipid... so it is a species to take into account for its excellent flavor , beauty and ease of cultivation in general, but for professional plantations it is necessary to elucidate why it sometimes gives less sweet fruits. Anyway, I love this species.
It is my greatest happiness to see that varieties of the Misiones jungle spread throughout the world, it seems to me the best way to save them from certain extinction. In the past 2 years we could not get that orange one again... I hope we do next year.

Hi, yes I do, this one on the photo is Annona aff. parviflora, difficult to ID, but very nice flavour. My friend's fav., similar to lemony biribá but less pulp, more seeds as usual. Very hardy/healthy species, nothing kills them here.

Hi Marcos,
I have three questions to ask you.
The Pitangas of this photo correspond to what in your Excel table?
The new variety of Pitanga Tangerine that you propose to what different from the reds that you already propose?
What variety of Pitanga do you prefer?
Thank you in advance for your answers ;).

Hello, No I dont have the one on the photo now. They all have some advantages, the big ones are usually not the sweetest but they are the easiest to process to make juices, ice creams, etc., and the flavor is good, similar to tangerines. The smaller ones are more useful to eat just like that but more complicated to harvest and process, I prefer the smaller ones to eat out of hand because they are sweeter.
I didnt tasted the Big red pitanga, Eldorado , but the collector told me it is good and I trust her.
Black pitanga, mid-size, Eldorado, Stock: 50 is good as almost all black ones.
I tasted Big red tangerine pitanga, Junin and I liked it, stronger taste. Not bad flavours. I dont sell the bad ones I know: I grow many more, but some of them are not good. I select and sell the good ones.

Yes I am aware of their rarity, because of the degradation of their natural habitat ...
I will do my best to grow in the best conditions ;).
-
As for the guabijú: they should not be drowned in water, and they sprout better if they are planted superficially, seeing some light.

I'm new to the forum as a poster but have lurked for a while, and have made two purchases from huertasurbanas in the last couple of months. Both times the seeds arrived quickly and in great condition, I've had questions answered very quickly, and the first batch has sprouted up nicely (the second batch I just planted today). I've added a couple of pictures of a Jabo INTA #2, sete capotes, and what I *think* is an araza hybrid, might be araca-una as a the tags got knocked off those (pay no attention to the random citrus in the background...)
Anyway, I've had such a good experience with these that I wanted to leave a review. Definitely recommend!

Thanks for reporting, last photo is maybe a weed! sorry. But please be patient, Psidium could take up to 6 months to sprout, keep humid.
Hahaha, thanks for the heads up, that would explain why it is so... vigorous compared to the other sprouts in the tray that one came from, which are tiny and just making true leaves. I've never grown araza before.
Definitely a few sprouts in the una and hybrids though that aren't this monster, so we'll see!

How is the flavor of this one?
-
Due to the region in which it is found, it resists -5 or -6º C. As for the fruit, I have not tasted it in perfect condition because it traveled 5 days refrigerated to my house, but it had a good sweet taste with some astringency. The woman who collected them says that her children also eat them, so I imagine that freshly harvested from the bushes they must be better fruits, if the children like them, I think they are good.
-
Cross-berry, Grewia occidentalis, has a nice flavour similar to raisins and it is very nutritious!

I want to say thanks to all the growers that made Jaboticaba de Campo Ramón and Giant Piray out of stock for this season.
You are really contributing to save rare species of the Misiones jungle. We hope to have both species from Oct this year, although Giant Piray is very hard to get and very rare. So for all those who bought them we hope you have good luck with the cultivation of the seedlings.
We have stock on these species now:
