Title: Can I use Jack's 25-5-15 on in-ground citrus trees?
Post by: edweather on April 26, 2022, 01:31:55 PM
I've read several posts on this forum, and it seems many people use this on citrus. Can it be used on in-ground trees? The instructions on the bag say basically one tablespoon per gallon of water. Just not sure if this is correct for citrus, and how often to use it, or how many gallons per tree. Any suggestions on how you use it are appreciated. I have 5 trees in-ground. One tree is 10' tall, two are 7' tall and 2 are 5' tall.  Thanks,  Ed

Yes you can use it on inground trees but it would be expensive.   I would recommend you purchase a 50-lb; bag of 8-8-8 or 10-10-10 and sprinkle it evenly under the tree out to the end of the drip line.   Then use you sprinkler and water it in.  For trees the age of yours apply  this 3 times per year equally spaced out during the growing season.

Ok, thanks. That's what I do now, but was hearing such positives about the stuff, I thought I might be missing something. Thanks again.

What is the trace element content of the Jacks product versus the 8-8-8 or 10-10-10 ?

I don't use xx-xx-xx fertilizer. I use a citrus fertilizer with all the goodies.
