Most varieties should be available in Spanish nurseries.

Salut,

I'm afraid to be bearer of bad news here, but Alphonso and likely Sonpari also were phenomenal is due to the fact that they were grown in India. You can certainly grow mangoes in a greenhouse there, but it's quite unlikely if not impossible that Alphonso will be happy there. Even Florida grown Alphonsos aren't as impressive. So if I were you, I would focus on reading through this forum and trying to find other varieties with Indian taste that aren't as fussy as Alphonso.

Were could you find those Indian mangoes in France? I visit Paris every now and then but I rarely see any decent varieties.

I grow mangoes in Romania in a small greenhouse and they get very sweet and tasty, probaly becasue of high temperatures during summer.
I don't have those that you are looking for right now but I will bring an alphonso in the future.

Try truly tropical farms, and tropical acres farms, you need to use FedEx or DHL to receive scions in good shape

I hope that you realize that it will get confiscated when checked by your douane.

France, as part of the European Union, is now requiring a 90-day prior inspection before accepting any plant material from the USA when obtaining the phytosanitary certificate. Going through this now with a few orders, and also a bit of legwork, as it must be juggled with local state AGI inspectors who must provide the stamp of approval.

They will inspect the host trees for cuttings being taken from it. Only way out of this timeframe is if those specific trees are already being directly inspected on an annual basis (not the general annual nursery inspection). In which case, it will depend how quickly your AGI inspectors apply for and obtain the phytosanitary certificate on your behalf.

Annoying, but it is the legal way.

Otherwise, you're sharpening some pencils.   ::) :blank:
