Hi,
I bought a mature tree from the market, about $50, and they said it was a jabadicaba.
Here's a few pics. Pinkish immature leaves, trunk exfoliating, all good right? (See top picture)
It appears to be flowering, but only in two small places, and out on the branches, not on the trunk (pic 2 and 3)
It also doesn't look *anything* like what i expected, or have seen online of flowering jabas
It's also been about 6 weeks since the buds emerged and i don't see the buds developing.
Should I perhaps add some organic fertilizer? Any advice is welcomed!
I pruned the tree exactly like in Adam's video, that seemed to have given it a boost. I also lowered the PH of the soil and repotted it so it drains more easily. Added a little bit of organic fertilizer at the same time as the PH lowering.
The branches that are clipped were done so before i bought it, most likely to move it to the market.
Forgive this newbie and give him some advice - is this a true jaba, and what shall I do to induce more flowering?
