I have a selected black and Zill suriname cherry tree that I will be harvesting scions from. Both red and black are very sweet and of exceptional quality. Brix between 16-17. The red variety is larger than the black but both are excellent varieties and have different fruiting time so that's why I have to have both.   My tree pretty much fruits 7-9 months out of the year.  I'll be selling $6 per scion 6 inch long and approximately 1/4 inch in diameter but may be slightly larger or smaller as well. Suriname wood is very thick and hard so it's better to only graft this size or smaller to ensure more success. Scions will be individually wrapped in Parafilm. Order minimum is  4 scions plus $7 shipping.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Successful Graft Soursop onto Cherimoya
« on: October 20, 2017, 02:20:08 AM »
Hi all. I did three grafts of soursop onto Honeyhart cherimoya in mid August.  It seems like all three took. The scions were collected from a small seedling soursop. The cherimoya is in ground. Seems like green on green works well. I am trying to grow soursop in southern California so hopefully the cherimoya will give it a few more degrees of hardiness. Will update after this winter. I have seen pictures of a woman who was able to fruit them in the ground in Orange County with winter protection on very cold nights.
