Just wanted to clarify, if I sent a message that I could fill your order those seeds are on hold. If I don't hear back from those in the next day or two I'll sell those to someone else. Thanks again.

I should be all caught up with the seed sales. I have a second crop of grumichama coming. I might put those back up when they ripen. Thanks again.

Hi all. Sorry I missed the messages here. I think I am caught up on the PMs. I still have some seeds available.

I had the fortune of trying out some fresh grumichas; They tasted fantastically similar to sweet Northern Bing cherry, according to my taste bud. Now I have never tried pitomba before, but the fruit looks pretty similar to a grumichama. When you taste a pitomba, can you easily tell it apart from the taste of a grumichama? Or is the flavor difference among the 2 fruits quite subtle? Thanks!

The grumichama are decent. I have two different seedlings next to each other and they taste similar. Both have a nice cherry flavor to them. The pitomba are much more of flavor bomb. Nice flesh to seed ratio and they taste like a spicy apricot. Really nice. I have eaten some that weren't great like the giant tree at Fairchild's Kampong. I would put my pitomba on par with the zill dark surinams quality wise which are excellent. Very different flavor but both excellent.

Hi
The PM systems in the forum doesn't seem to work for me

No international shipping. It really is a huge pain. I've gone through those paces before. Thanks for looking though.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Abiu finally producing
« on: May 13, 2022, 05:09:58 PM »
This is a little old thread but would like some help. I planted an  abiu I bought on here from HI. Seedling tree not grafted. It has flowered in my friends yard last 2 years but never set fruit. Also alot of the flowers seem to drop off any suggestions?
This year he told me a bit late but been giving it some added calcium, mag and Phos and kelp.
It looks very nice and green just the flowers are dropping off. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
DOes it need more time to age?

You need cross pollination.

Tropical Fruit Buy, Sell & Trade / Re: WTB Fe'i banana or Saba

Fe'i are a real PITA to grow. Even pulling larger pups they are much fussier than regular bananas. I am currently trying to start a second mat to back mine up in case they decide to die on me. Still no fruit where a common banana variety would have fruited 3 times by now. Good luck! It is one of my most anticipated things to fruit here.

Getting caught up today. Thanks everyone.

I just messaged everyone back letting them know I added the Geneva Red seeds and let them know they can change their order if interested. I did the same with the handful of people that I have paid and I already packed up. If I don't hear back by tomorrow when I am done packing I'll ship those out.

Thanks everyone. - Josh

Jabos sold out for now.

Guillermo Ilama is getting close and will post seeds when I harvest.

Abiu has a nice fruitset but are small and far off.

Mangifera lalijiwa are ripening soon and should have seed as well if there is interest.

No preorders on anything since you don't know what you end up with until you harvest.

Thanks all!

I may have access to Imbe seed if you are interested. They aren't my trees so I would have to go collect. If you were interested how many seeds were you looking for?

25
I mean how much are we talking per fruit? I normally just eat all my abiu and sell the seeds at a reasonable price here. I would have too charge some outrageous price to make it worth it and both abiu and white sapote seem like nightmares to ship.

I've seen white sapote posted on Etsy for the past two years in a row around mid-summer. Last year I bought 3.5lbs for $37.90 in late July.
Abiu I've only seen available for pre-order on MiamiFruit. Apparently the waitlist is so long, you may end up waiting a couple years before your order is fulfilled.

If any private abiu sellers are reading, jot me down as someone else who is very interested in buying some.

Did the $37.90 include shipping? Was it a flat rate box or something else. Was the fruit beat up or did it ripen properly. Mangos are super easy and that's why everyone is doing that.
