My big one up front is easily 20' wide. The one with fruit is about 7-8'wide and about 10'tall. Others are in between those sizes. The inga vulpina in a pot is fine since it gets r/o water. Would be ok for half the dry season but without the rain we normally get in the summer it's impossible to leech the sand. The espoma soil acidifier has gypsum in there so that may help. I got so.e of those IBC liquid storage containers and need to plumb them into to gutters. Just trying to plan that with all the other projects/work is challenging. I think I just wash em out good and put them on the back porch since it's elevation is highest on the property.

That's cool! I have a couple of those too lol. They are very small still, probably 1 month old.

The dehydrated pineapple sounds much more delicious. Thanks for saving me the effort on the papayas. I did make some fruit leather from dragonfruit, grapes and some blackberries with some honey in the oven. It took forever though. Tasted great and good texture but the seeds need to be strained out next time around, it's a little too crunch. I'll try again next season or maybe.

I'll most likely just leave it to its own since nobody in my family really like them. But good to know all that info about them. There one loaded with larger fruit out back i just let the animals chew em up lol. At least until I get a dehydrator. Can anyone confirm that dehydrating will actually remove the garbage can flavor? The dehydrated ones in store bought trail mix were always good and this co.ing year I'll need a good way to preserve the harvests.

How long have you been growing the angustisima?  I have a couple almost a year young.

On my walk this morning I found this Rouge papaya tree that the animals planted but havnt looked at it in a while. It's growing in the shade of several pine and Sable palms behind the hedge row of clusias. Upon cutti g it open there weren't any seeds and never knew they could be Seedless. It's actually got less of a dumpster taste than the ones I planted. Small sized fruit though, maybe because it's in shade.

Heater is pumping hard in the greenhouse! This should make some mango bloom, Woo-hoo! Hoping all the varieties on my stump project bloom. So far honey kiss has some pea sized fruit forming. Separate fruit punch tree pushing some flowers as well. Stay warm everyone.

Thanks Brian! Maybe you could grab one of those cheap kiddie pools and experiment with filling it up so it saves you some effort. All the ingas here need some real rain water so I'm contemplating running a pump out of the canal for my drip lines since it's probably better quality than the well. It just scares me that it could have all those weed killers and whatever else. Probably no different than the well besides the amount of fresh rain runoff. The well water isn't very good quality and high in dissolved solids, especially cause we're around 20ish" short on rainfall this year. Hoping next year we get back to normal.

Seems one of my trees is holding a fruit. It's either a inga feullei or edulis. Wish I would have labeled them, oh well. I'm very excited to try the fruit and hoping we get more rain since we've only had half the total yearly amount. Looks like it takes 3 months to mature so around February I should be able to test it if it holds on through winter. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Yea I know it's like a sri lanken weavil buffet over here. He's there hiding if you look closely.

I used an even cheaper one on my drip line fertigating my in ground plants but who knows what the final dilution rate was as you probably need to have some pressure and flow meters installed to know what your getting. I don't think it's as important when feeding them in ground since everything really perked up within a couple weeks of doing that. It was organic fertilizer I inoculated with mycorhyzae also. You probably could elevate a container(large enough so you mix 1 batch of fertilizer) and add a hose (cheap clear hose from home depot) that's long enough instead of buying a pump and just add a valve to the end where you hold it and a barb fitting to the bottom of the container with some silicone sealant. If it was a strong enough container sealed up you could probably hook up a fitting for an air compressor and fill it with air to push the water out to save you on buying a pump as well. I just chose the trash can and pump on garden hose since there's lots & lots of plants in containers and there kind of far away from the r/o water. It's a good topic though. I'm interested how others overcome the task on large container gardens. It's just such a pain to mix in a watering can and repeat 20x over and over.
