Guava and coconut cream are vigorous if I correctly recall what Alex told me. E4 is pretty vigorous for me so far.

Know what that's like, was renting for years with many potted plants waiting for a forever home. Now, they all look happy blowing in the wind together.

Yes, trying to dig up a pic, think my wife has it on her phone. Got a nice bunch. Thieves nabbed the other, too early and a waste.

Nanners were real good. Great flavor and big. Still got a few in the freezer for smoothies, didn't let any go to waste.

3 nice plants have sprung up. Training them away from the fence this time.

Interesting ideas about using drywall. Gotta ask, what else is used to make drywall? Just wondering if any other ingredients could impact plants or fruit. Remembering from years ago all that drywall from overseas that was making people ill in their homes. Seems there was more than gypsum in that stuff.

Kari produces like a beast for me, a few times per year. Covered in flowers and a few fruit at different stages as I type this. The fruit is good as far as starfruit go. Crisp, refreshing, and mildly sweet. Variety of sizes, even get some large ones.

Tree is in ground. Fertilize it a couple times per year, that's it.

Don't think it has ever been pruned, and it has formed a nice canopy of drooping top branches. Beautiful tree, even the bark is eye pleasing.

One thing that might be helping my tree is the solid limestone plate it is planted upon. Has to be getting plenty of calcium and carbonate.  Seems fine with the higher ph too.

Finally got my mangosteen in ground. Had to jackhammer a hole through solid limestone. Over 2 feet deep and 4+ feet in diameter. Lined hole and painted with Mikrokote.



Tree was in a root saver pot. Check out the nice fibrous root system.


Added ton of sand and topsoil to the bottom layer, with peat and biochar. Added organic soil with perlite and biochar to the top layers. Built a mound, which is secured with root saver pots attached to each other. Hoping this will suffice to keep the roots happy and out of alkaline soil.

Bought a neem tree from seller on Etsy. What a slouch! Claimed trees were around a foot or more, with nice branching. My tree was barely 6 inches, 3 little branches. Nothing like pics. Seller was unapologetic and is dishonest, never getting my business again.

Squirrels ruined all my oro negro avocados well before ripening. 8+ foot tree, probably over 50 fruit gone. Nothing is left. I feed squirrels and birds in the front yard to distract from the fruit in the back. Doesn't help with avocado.

Got me a Squirrelinator, everyone's getting a squirrel for Christmas!

Mine has flowered and fruited since bought in a 3 gallon pot and about 4 feet tall or less. Flowers and fruits a few times per year, good producer and nice fruit.

Perdiodic fert.

Gotta pic of your tree and the trunk with something for scaling of size?

You might have cassia cinnamon. Your looks slightly different from my tree, which was sold by PIN as ceylon cinnamon. Leaves on mine are lighter colored and shape is not quite the same.

I did have 1 mulberry tree, perhaps this Thai dwarf you have.  It never got taller than 5' after 2 years, and fruits were small and and sour from getting too much sun.  I figured it was just stunted.  Hardy as hell, dug it out and left it, and it just ignored that.   Gave it to a friend to plant in a pot.  This tree only fruited 2-3 times per year. 

From my mother tree that I liked too cuttings and planted everywhere.  All cuttings showed the same vigorous growth, 20' tall within 2 years.

If the berries were small, probably not Thai Dwarf. This plant has larger berries, double or triple size of FE.
