The safou tree in the photo is about 18 ft high. The trunk is about 5” thick.
A friend who, I believe, was the first person the fruit safou in CR looked at my trees a year ago and figured they were the size to fruit but that maybe they would want more sun. We do have a few large forest trees around, can limit sun. This fruiting was inspired, I feel, by a lengthy dry period that ended about a month ago. We’re also getting, at the same time, nice flowering on durian, mangosteen, pulusan, etc. Etc.
