Does Anybody have a nursery in NorCal/Sacrameto area?
« on: August 15, 2021, 04:50:21 AM »
I’ve been to a couple of nurseries in Roseville and Sacramento. I’m looking for some tropicyrs and temperate fruit trees.
Thanks in advance for helping out!

Green Acres in Folsom has many temperate fruit trees.

I recommend Nate and Brian Laufer. I also sell on a smaller scale and I’m located in Dublin CA

I wanted a black sapote, mamey, a chupa chupa, sapodilla, canister, and longan. If they have a bona squamosa, an if at of them are 4-5ft, even better. I’ll have to drive down to get them.
Been to Green Acres, the on in Roseville has a wider variety of fruit trees, but not that I’m looking for.
I’d be interested in checking out Wildlands, if they have any grafted trees!

I'm nate from wildlands! Unfortunately I don't think theres many nurseries like that in the Bay Area. Your best bet would be to make a trip down to socal.  Most of those are kind of marginal and most nurseries wouldnt risk them up here.

...And even a place like California Trropical in Vista - which often makes a variety of larger subtropical specimen trees available - publishes a 'no grow' list on their website.

Not to say those things are impossible, but that from their point of view dealing with customer ire over repeated failure becomes a disincentive to stock them. On occasion Atemoya Nursery - also in Vista - has made runs up this way - might be worth monitoring their FB page every so often.
