Paid seller for products but shipping confirmation and product not received

Need help trying to rectify this matter.
 Paid very promptly for items which were supposed to ship out awhile ago. He replied once regarding to plan to ship but no reply after multiple communication attempts. It was paid through PayPal. What should I do? Tia

Go to PayPal. You have some protection there.

Hopefully you didn't use friends and family option. Because then you're most likely sunk. If not open a dispute and paypal should handle for undelivered goods or services

It should be a sticky post here that boldly states do not pay using PayPal friends and family option! A good seller would already add the PayPal fee is the price of the product or shipping charge. If a seller that seems good insist friends and family I will tell them I will send 4% extra or whatever it is to cover the fee, if they aren’t good with that good bye no sale. I won’t give up my piece of mind aka PayPal buyers protection.

Side note. One thing to know about paypal's "buyer protection". If a scammer seller sends out a fake tracking number, paypal will take the seller side. They won't even check the tracking number to see if it's fake or if it's delivered to your address.

This is from personal experience. Seller sent UPS tracking number but tracking number showed delivery made to some address that wasn't mine. Paypal wanted confirmation from UPS that the address wasn't mine. UPS refused because I wasn't the sender. Never ending loop.
