oemleria cerasiformis

Hey!

I Can't find much info about the Indian plum, Oemleria cerasiformis  on the web, But
I know a shrub in my area, that has fruits on the way. If you know anything about it  and if it is worth growing,
please get out with the info about it ;) I would like to know if this is a good fruit, I haven't tasted it yet but know it has to get really ripe. How is it easiest propagated, root suckers? Do cuttings work? How long from seed to start fruiting?
Are there better and less good cultivars for fruit?

Många tack!
