It's interesting as there is some confusion on the name.
Some people call it pouteria glomerata, but for others it's hypoglauca. I'm not sure if it's two seperate species...but I'm leaning towards just mislabeling like myrciaria glazioviana/glomerata yellow jaboticaba ordeal.
I've tried to research to find out which is correct, but I'm stuck
The fruit is really good but again its super hard to explain.
It's sweet and creamy but has some grit near the outer part.

From what I have seen its decent and can be eaten out of hand, but people usually make stuff out of them. According to the fruits of brazil book it is called pouteria Glomerata as well as pouteria hypoglauca. Appreciate the feedback Jaboticaba45 hope you're doing well! Also settled with things here so you will need to make the trip and come visit soon.

Officially, Pouteria hypoglauca is a synonym of P. glomerata subsp. glomerata. Maybe there's an undescribed species also thrown in the mix, but I don't think so, since they all seem to be similar.
