Lol, no it's a caterpillar that looks like bael fruit. Probably a swallowtail that usually eats citrus.

What a hilarious name for a caterpillar that looks like bird poop, not a dog, and furthermore is not orange.

If you squeeze it two orange horn like protrubances pop out of its head.

Bael fruit is a distant citrus relative so it's not surprising that that swallowtail might like it.

Cheers!

I don't kill mine. My plants are doing well enough that there's enough to go around. I have plenty of wasps that keep caterpillar populations under control.

Interesting to kill the very things that will metamorphose into a beneficial pollinator. I no longer mess with symbiotic relationships in my yard. If there's a big problem, I just relocate caterpillars to my decorative plants.

Well it feeds the soil microbes so....I would hate to see someone relocate the gulf fritilaries on their passionfruit vines. World's most expensive passionfruit.  Those things make it impossible to even exterminate them. I gave up on passionfruit since those things destroy every plant and stunt them severely. The only reason I exterminate 1 is so it doesn't become a problem and then I have a bunch of stunted plants. Next time I see one I'll relocate to something g not important though, Good idea.
