Yesterday I bought some Aframomum sp. fruits at a local market outside Kampala; the fruits are large and have a refreshing slightly acid passionfruit taste, with a spicy twist. One of my favorite Ugandan fruits and very container friendly as well.
Seeds are available for trade with anything I don't have

Good question Oscar; I bought these on the market and can't identify the parent plants - but these pods are bigger than the others I have previously mailed (Sadhu got A. mildbraedii which is the smallest, and Anestor, Thurston and others from another source years back) so it is likely a different species - there are at least 3 species in central Uganda and several more in other areas... The taste however is the same more or less.

A. corrorima grows in western Uganda. I will try and list the likely species from my literature.

Was back in the area where I bought the above large fruits from, and a vendor held a bunch including this big pod - the largest I have ever seen. Guess that area has the perfect conditions for Aframomum or perhaps a large variety of one of the species.

On a different market near the town of Mukono on the Jinja-Kampala highway I found this dwarf Aframomum sp. for sale. The pod are smooth, and unlike other Aframomum spp. I have seen, these are just laying on the ground (and not sitting upright on a stem above). Many species have leaf-lets growing to 1-2+ meters but this was hardly ½m when mature.

I am interested in seeds. Btw the mulberry are up! Will have to review what I can send in return. Ay luck with the mangosteen? Rambutan?

I planted the seeds you sent 134 days ago, and they are JUST now pushing roots. The first two showed roots today. Now I wonder how long until they push growth above the soil line.

Mine were up in 4 weeks and quickly reached 10cm 6weeks later.I should have separated them already as there are too many crowded in the pot and most are ready to put out their 5th leaf.I think every seed sprouted.

Same experience here. Seem very vigorous.

Mine waited until late in winter but shot up once the temps met with their approval. Have to separate them out as there are dozens in one pot.
