If you want good tasting mulberries which gives regular production of excellent fruits then you should add these to your collection. I will not be selling any more cuttings until nex spring/summer if I have the trees. I may remove all of these large in ground trees by then.

Anyone know what type of bird laid the neat looking eggs in my mulberry tree?

I have a Red Himalayan tree (grafted) and it has been growing large for 3 yrs and fruiting for 2 years. I think this Red Himalayan fruit and leaves looks very similar to the Taiwan Long. It is a vigorous grower, leaves are one of the largest of my mulberry varieties (22) and fruits are long, firm, sweet (brix =26). My white pakistan and Australian Green measures brix =30, it is the sweetest of all the varieties I grow. I will finally get to taste 3 fruits from my Persian mulberry any day now since it has the ripe fruits for the first time.

Kaz, can the Australian Green and White Pakistan be grafted to Thai Dwarf and/or Dwarf Everbearing? Thanks!

Yes, you can graft the Australian Green or Red Himalayan to the Thai Dwarf. I have both of them grafted to it as well as the Shangri-La rootstock tree and Black Pakistan rootstock.

Australian Green is easier to graft so I will try to ship those first.

PM sent as well!

As for the eggs, my guess is a house finch. It uses pine straw or grasses for its nest, and the eggs look just like that. Do you see little brownish birds with light red head feathers around?

I'm starting to get low on the Australian Green and White Pakistan branches to cut now. If you want these then you should get it asap.

I still have a few more large branches of the Red Himalayan that I need to cut so I should have plenty of that one.

Here's one branch from the Red Himalayan tree that I cut last night, you can see there are lots of graftable size branches that can be used.

Put your order in now, I will be throwing these out in the trash bin by end of the day if no one wants it.

Wow, just imagine how many Red Himalayan grafts can be created from those “excess branches”!
You can start a grove, a Red Himalayan mulberry u-pick farm!👍😁

yup, that is only 1/10 of the branches I have already cut from my Red Himalayan trees. I still have more to cut this weekend. Of all my varieties, this Red Himalayan is the monster tree, can grow super fast and large. At least now I know it gives good fruits so I can graft it on my white pakistan tree to keep it smaller.

Don’t you just love mulberries?!?
They are able to be grafted onto each other quite easily. Wish more fruit trees are that compatible...

Since they are among the fast and large growing mulberries, perhaps they could be a good alternative to hybrid willows for those who need a wind break in a short amount of time. A big plus to having excellent fruits.
