No problem here with VeggieMan selling plants for 200, and very appreciative of Rob for saving me 100 bucks and pointing me in direction of a much larger tree locally.

Weird Al's in Miami has them, along with tons of other great stuff.

In a free market, prices can be crazy and people are free to express their opinions about it.

Seems like everything is working out.

Planning on using my tree to graft from, and may or may not plant or pass the tree along afterwards. So, for me, buying a tree made more sense than waiting and buying scions. Fresh scions when the time is right, and a tree to gift or sell in the future.

I think people should be able to list a tree for whatever price they wish. That’s why I haven’t deleted this post. I also think that if a price is unreasonably high, forum members should also be free to call the seller out on it to protect individuals who may not know any better and think $100 for a 3g sapodilla is a reasonable price. If someone is aware of all of the facts and is willing to pay $100 or $200 then they are free to.

What I do not like is anyone lying or hyping up a description of a fruit and it’s availability in order to get sales.

I’ve seen posts where people say something is super rare when it’s not. When I see something like that, I’ll just edit or delete the post.

So glad your here moderating Sheehan.
I enjoy the myriad of opinions too .
I think it’s too dangerous to the ego to NOT get called out on your BS. Having nothing but YesMen around you is just too inflating. Reality is the supply and demand will work itself out. There are people who can pay the mark up to get what they want with relative ease. There are people that know hot to plant lots of Sapodilla seeds and graft plant material from friends. Whichever route you choose, or anywhere in between you gotta get you a butter scotch, unless your like me and not hot enough to grow SapoD.
Speaking of SapoD , looks like he cashed out and skipped the question and answer period.

Please tell me you got asking price or better for them :)

All the drama may have driven up demand.

i just got done reading the whole thread lol it brought tickles to my eyes lol

in america we can sell or buy any plant at any price we see fit, we not socialist lol.

i do think its very expensive plant my self, and i wouldnt buy it either for the price. but theirs a thing called the law of economics where supply meets a demand and it generates a price. if you dont like dont buy it. no need to post angery post about it being more expensive ya just building up more hype and creating more demand lol.

if ya look at ebay completed listing and what prices they sold for in the past 100 dollars is a great deal.

its a new release from zills with limited supply no different from lets say a new release jabos that sells for 1k thats in a one gal lol

i had 20 3 gal plants and sold out in 1 week at 200 each. its a zills plant that is super hard to graft and zills caps on how many people can buy cause of the supply and demand. this is an awesome deal

So tell me, what makes it harder to graft than any other sap?  Just trying to justify your hot poker offering?

hes mad cause he wants one and cant afford it at its current market value

Why do you keep attacking this guy. His price is $200 take it or leave it

Dont like it, dont read it.  This clown is just that, a clown.  I am not looking to purchase one, already have it.  Paid less than $30 for a 3 gal from ZHPP.  Just informing people that $200 is an absolute ripoff....and its not ultra rare nor any harder to graft than any other sap.  Truth hurts, huh...Merry Christmas!
