Chinese Persimmon cultivars

(1/2) > >>

CarolinaZone:
Does anybody here have experience with Chinese persimmon cultivars? I am particularly interested in the non astringent varieties. Is there anything distinct about them? There is a definite difference between American persimmons and Japanese but not much difference between Japanese and hybrid JapaneseXAmerican persimmons.

Hey Usirius. Are the last three in your list Chinese? The names are Japanese. Can you tell us anything about the fruit?

RS:
Embarrassed to say I wasn't aware of any Chinese cultivars, but it looks like there are many interesting varieties (e.g. Baiguo, Baogai, Black, etc) with Luotian Sweet being non-astringent.

I have no experience with this website, but it does have some info about different Chinese varieties: https://www.hardtofindtrees.com/product-category/persimmon/

Gwang Yang I believe is a Korean variety.

usirius:
RS an CarlinaZone, thank ou for your replies.
I can't really judge that exactly, but you might be right.
