What's new for 2024?
I am attempting to top-work my Ice Cream Mango tree to multiple other varieties (Candy Corn, Cecilove, Fairchild, Kook Lom Krong, Pina Colada). So far one Fairchild scion died and only one of two Kook Lom Krong scions have pushed:
Of the far too many seeds I've ordered,
Pouteria salicifolia has been most robust, and I planted four seedlings out in the yard (one promptly chewed off at the base by a resident rabbit). It has since resprouted, fortunately.
Plan to put out in the yard a Pineapple Pleasure Mango, a seedling
Pouteria macrophylla 'Gigante', Kohala Longan, and some Dwarf Ambarella seedlings.
Plan to cut down most of my
Carissa macrocarpa, taking out some Suriname Cherries and possibly one Barbados Cherry, and weak Jackfruit seedlings.
What are other people doing??
