I've been talking to a grower in China and they stated that there are no named male trees. Like others may have thought, it's probably just marketing. they said most male trees are grown from seed.

Acu de Bahia
$30
Rare new coronata introduced to US early 2021-2022
And thatís all we know lol

Does not include shipping costs!

Well we know itís native to Bahia state in Brazil and Acu is large which I assume is the size of the fruit. Thatís more info than many of these new introductions.

Thanks for providing more insight to this. I probably have some pictures of the fruits on my phone somewhere I'll see if I can find it.

Also anyone who is interested in buying these plants, feel free to make an offer on them if you feel the price isn't right.
Happy holidays!

Ha ha ha. I have you to thank for understanding what a simp is.

In any case, you'll see when the time comes when you pop out your own shorty (did i just date myself with that slang?  Do they use it still?) and it becomes harder to keep up with all the new varieties/species that pop up!
Lol
I have never heard that spoken to me ever lol
You'll have to teach me now ;D

Isn't that the truth nowadays!
Yep...I mean you can't keep up with all these new introductions now! It's really now up to the true collectors to buy it. If you're growing for fruit, yes it'll probably taste good, but in terms of wait time and other factors, it's not worth it ;) ;D :D Only true plinia simps 8)
plinia simp gang lets gooooo

Itís a good fruit but has some fibers my family agreed that it smells better than it tastes. I think it tastes great though.

I've seen them ripe in July. There is/was an auction for a seed on ebay not sure when it ended...The seed was from south FL so I'm assuming they can fruit this late into the year.

Surinam cherry pie...Very interesting
I think olosapo pie would work or maybe canistel, mamey, or ross sapote for pies. Someone with the fruits should try! I think it would taste epic! Maybe I'll get some fruits and mess around with them after finals.

Had lots of hachiya fruits I could've sold but now it's too late in the season.
They are all too soft now to ship and I'm eating them myself.
I think there are some still left in CA?
I checked and have several that haven't softened up yet. I think about 6 (whatever fits in a medium box)
I can send them for $25 plus usps shipping.

I have some durian seedlings I can spare from Palolo
If you're interested let me know

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Anybody know aquagem on ebay?
« on: December 03, 2022, 05:59:51 PM »
Aquagem offers some rare stuff but just wondering if some is legit. Iíve bought something they called dominican red star fruit which is growing good but to soon to tell if it came true to seed. Also bought a dwarf kwai muk which I still swear is a jackfruit seedling but they said they definitely sent me the right tree
Any pictures of the plants?
Dwarf kwai muk sounds like a scam.
I don't know anyone with a dwarf one...

No cold hard mangoes or edible bananas. You'll need a greenhouse or a way of protection in the long run.

This was a few weeks back. Theyíve gotten bigger since.
You got some cool stuff going on over there!
The fruit has been somewhat high on my to try list as I love sour fruits...Shouldn't be too hard to fruit up here anyways even though mine died

15
Looks nice!
I had a narrow leaf one and it died...after I tried to graft some wide leaf on it during the middle of winter lol
Got it to flower a couple of years at least. Like most eugenia I think they take several years of flowering before setting fruit most cases.
Now potentially getting another one fingers crossed.
I want to get the sororia? selection I think FFF has. Not sure if it's wide or narrow leafed.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Best time to graft jaboticaba?
« on: November 30, 2022, 04:08:58 PM »
Many people in FL will do it in fall and spring.
Best when the temps are not too hot or cold.
I've done grafting all season, but the ones in winter and fall here end up pushing come spring cause of my climate.

17
I can say everything I've gotten from Jason has been of top quality!

18
When are going to get it started ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Were you successful last order?

Ok here's an update
Mine are all in ground and they have taken high 20s here
New growth gets frazzled but the old growth is fine though looks trash cause of nematodes. They are still recovering as Simon mentioned earlier I think.
If they can kinda go dormant and not grow during the winter this will be very good
Not sure though the weather here has been trash and i plated them later in season
lol
Still alive though
Hopefully they can grow super big once summer comes
I probably will have to protect them when it gets below 20 ish.

Oh, dear. My apologies. I thought it was in proper form to remove the auction link once it concluded. I was also not aware stating the starting price was required.

This was the auction link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/394342055039
The original starting price was $35.

I'm quite new to this board, so if I make a few mistakes I'm sorry. Thank you for letting me know, though. I'll make sure to apply that in my future listings.
It's perfectly normal to list auctions on the forum. There is no requirement or rule against this. You don't need to state a price although people find it helpful. It's totally fine to advertise here in the buy sell trade section. This is why it's here for lol. To get your products out to other people!
Many sellers will do this and it is ok. No worries and welcome to the forum!

To any friends in FL I have,
If you go and pick stuff up for yourself, there are several stuffs I'd like to buy if you want to hold for me and I can pick up next summer...
Nice selection!

22
send a pm if interested one pack only
Gone. Thanks

23
Does anybody have any idea how much shipping cost last year?
It was 120 something for me
The box was really big probably too big.
Some people got it better though closer to $100 due to distance.

Oh yeah!!!!

Dabai - very tasty, calorie dense food. If I ate a kilo I would be full for hours. Seem like a pain to harvest and Iíve heard only 1 in 10 trees will produce a female tree but still doesnít make sense to me why they arenít more commonly grown outside of Borneo. Taste I would describe is something between an olive and an avocado. Definitely in my top 10

Yepp definetly Dabai,
Also wampee, had some big really sweet ones the other day! WOW delicious. Better then a Lychee IMO. And the tree does give fruit yearly in abundance here while Lychee is always patchy even in the highlands.
I'm gonna keep my eye open to some good wampee. The ones I had were super sour.
I do think I would like it if they were sweeter.
