Pine needles help lower the ph. Commercially, the O'neal variety is good. If you want something beyond the usual, the Portuguese ones (Vaccinium cylindraceum and Vaccinium padifolium) are wonderful.

It depends. Makes a very appreciated brandy. It gets sweeter with the cold. I saw it growing where it snows, wikipedia says it is hardy to zone 7. It does ferment very quickly and bruises easily. I like it but i don't really eat it often. The leaves are medicinal. It attracts butterflies and looks and feels good. Easy to grow.

Some one/company that would possibly be able to recreate something akin to the Tivoli Gardens. Some one able to use natural materials and work as Nature to create a natural irrigation system.

Bay leaves are a natural weevil deterrent, perhaps you can use them preemptively. Laurus nobilis is my preference.

We have quite a decent distribution of chestnut in Portugal https://flora-on.pt/#/1Castanea+sativa as long as you forage them or get some good organic ones they are pretty good.
I have heard that the Korean ones are super sweet and large, has anyone had any experience with them?

It is a good place to visit. Perhaps a nice vacation in a few months, why not?  :)

My intuition tells me to go for the Mexican criollo, when i find the ones in alignment with my preference.
I go with the flow, for it knows where i need to go.
