Got mine! Thanks again Ryan! Good luck everyone on germination. I personally never tried to germinate these. I'll go with the cold stratification method and see what I get.

Seeds look real fresh. I think I'll just place them in the fridge for 1-2 months and then plant them in big pots. I heard they don't like to be transplanted.

Good idea. Unfortunately I don't think my parents would let me take a trip out, but maybe sometime. Might be traveling in that direction next summer so might get a chance.

Good job! I know someone else has them sprouting up also.
If anyone’s interested, I should have more seeds for sale at
graftatree.com
Should be available soon. Hopefully in less than a few weeks. Want to get them out in time for spring planting.

Have the seeds been cold stratified that you're getting in soon?

Yes 👍 we only like top quality products!
I’ve never tried germinating yangmei cause I hate waiting. Well now there’s no reason to worry. For someone in FL the seeds took about a month to sprout. Really fast compared to years.

^I was that someone. I had phenomenal germination rates, and would definitely advise getting them from Ryan. Unfortunately, I was gone for a weekend and they all burnt to a crisp. Keep that in mind, they are definitely more sun-sensitive at this stage than I thought.

They were probably 2x the size of what Pinkturtle just posted. Roots were about 3x the length of the shoot.

Nada for me so far with the imports. But I did cold stratify for 2 months before I planted, so we'll see how that goes. I also got some from that newer batch from Ryan's site. Those went straight into a pot and about 3 weeks in. Patiently waiting.

With this very first import last October I didn’t know they were cold stratified. There probably was no reason to as they already were. I hope you get some good turnout with this new batch I recently sold.

I think so. It's just an extra few months of cold storage. Let me know what turns out. But shouldn't negatively affect them.
I'll post when the new seeds drop.

Finally see 1 import popping up, so no problem with the extra cold stratification. Will post a pic later.
