Uppotting a Moro Blood Orange
« on: April 02, 2024, 07:10:33 PM »
Just received a new 40"+ tree in a 4x4x12" tall pot and want to put it into a plastic half 55 gallon barrel as it's permanent home. are they similar to mangoes that want small pots and need multiple uppotting?

Yes, it would be unwise to move a tree directly from a small pot to a half barrel.  Do it slowly over time as the roots grow or you may have stagnant water issues and drown your new tree.
