Corrientes jaboticaba found!

[huertasurbanas]

It is a species of jaboticaba from northern Argentina but from a province that is further south than Misiones, it lives in forest formations where naturally the jaboticabas develop enduring stronger frosts. For this reason, it is one of the jaboticaba species best adapted to cold. It is more rustic than other varieties when it is wild, the trees are old and are between 2 and 4 meters high (tends to be low if we compare it with other Plinia species), the leaves are small. The fruits are sweet with acid tones such as several known jaboticabas. I think it is a very good variety for temperate and subtropical climates.

Nice, last year we found just a few fruits, now there will be many more and we will do icecream at my friend's icecream store.
