Are there any pictures of “Jalisco Rojo guava”? There doesn’t seem to be information on it anywhere .

Did you happen to find a source for this?  the only one I've seen is a forum member who sells cuttings, but I couldn't get them to take.

The fruit was good but I haven't tried enough to comment too much.  I'm not even sure it is really the jalisco red.  I also got the Dolores guava tree at the same time and it has grown a lot faster and made 30 or so fruits this year.  Those I've had enough samples and my family as well and everyone likes it.  Its very sweet and has a bubble gum flavor.  Its got a pretty big seed ball in the middle but that's how most guava are.  I just eat around the seedy middle and pitch the seeds usually.  My kids really like the Dolores guavas but won't eat my regular white flesh ones.

Ok, thanks for the feedback. I still need to get the Delores scions to take, 0-15 on that one as well.

Dolores, I’d like to buy seeds from your Dolores guava tree, or if you sell an airlayered plant, that would be even better. Please let me know.

Brad, I am also interested in buying Dolores and Jalisco Rojo seeds as well if and when they are available.

Last year, I was able to successfully graft Jalisco Rojo but it died when we had frost one night.

Because they were so overhyped everyone on this board was sending me messages asking for seeds and cuttings.  The trees were ljke a curse, people wouldnt leave me alone about them.  So I chainsawed them down and chilped them.  Had to get rid of the curse.

Thanks for clarifying it.  Don't have to look for them any more :)

Best thing about Brad is he tells it how it is. No sugar coating the truth 😁

i should have never mentioned i had these.  that was my mistake.  it wouldnt have been a big deal if any individual here had asked me about the trees but tons of people were bugging me about the trees.  it got to the point of absurdity.  they are just pink guavas, not that special.  frank hyped it to the point of almost hysteria surrounding these stupid guavas.

younguys should ask frank for cuttings.

I'm almost relieved to hear it isn't worthwhile.  I wanted one badly too.

Really spaugh? Jalisco red guava is analogous to Zill’s top tier mangos,  the pink guavas from Laverne you are referring to are like Tommy Atkins. You need to educate yourself before you espouse such foolish opions.

I didnt mention la verne guavas.

These are your guavas frank.  Thats why your name was brought up.  The guavas are nice but they are still just guavas.  So many pwople were asking me for cuttings, trees, seeds etc of these guavas that were so hyped up it got really annoying.
