Is this fruit from a Eugenia luschnathiana or Pitomba?

I went to a fruit tour and picked up these fruits from a mature tree, it tastes ok, not sweet, a little on the source side. I picked up these fallen fruits, forgot to take photos of the tree, maybe later.

I found a good mulberry seedling tree (male) that seems to root well for me so I stared rooting many cuttings now. I finally got the hang of rooting cuttings without much effort so I can make many rooted cuttings for rootstock now.

It will be 1 year before I can graft onto these rooted cuttings.

So, just curious if there is enough interest for me to graft some good varieties on these future seedling plants for next year.

Here's the list of mulberry varieties I'm thinking of grafting onto the seedlings when they are old enough to graft.

1. Red Himalayan (from Exotica) - huge leaves, vigorous, fruits well after 3 years. Fruit tastes good, brix =22.
2. White Pakistan- my variety seems to grow slow/dwarf style. So this might be a good one for those who want to grow in ground and keep it small (under 8 ft). Fruit tastes is excellent, sweet, brix =28.
3. Australian Green- white long fruit, similar in size and taste to white pakistan. Fruit seems to stay on longer than the white pakistan. Vigorous grower. High fruit production. brix =28.
4. DMOR9- long red fruit. Seems to be one of the best tasting from peoples review. I haven't tasted many fruits on new grafts. Vigorous grower, I should have many large branches by next spring to use scionwood. (sale on ebay $150)
5. Siam Jimbo- fruit is supposed to be 1-1/2", fat red/black fruits. My fruits were that not fat, similar is size to Thai Dwarf. Maybe next year it will have larger fruits that tastes better.
6. Silk Hope- taste is good.
7. Thom's Super Pakistan- long red fruit, similar to DMOR9. Still not many available except on ebay ($150)
8. Gerardi Dwarf- small, 1" fruits, tastes good. Suppose to be a dwarf mulberry due to close leaf nodes.
9. Sange e Latte (Italy)- translated fruit color is blood & milk (red/with white background). Taste is excellent. Different from most mulberries here in the US. (not really available except here).
10 Persian mulberry (morus nigra)- small fruit, supposed to be best combo of sweet/tart. Vigorous grower, as much as my Red Himalayan.

-> Not showing any of the varieties that are easy to root from cuttings such as the Black Pakistan & Shangre-La

The cost of the grafted tree (1yr old) could range from $30-$50 each, plus shipping cost.
The cost of the grafted tree is for the pots I need to purchase, seedling tree, and the scionwood which is a fair price. If you think it should be lower in cost, let me know as well below.

I have 24 varieties and I think these above are the best tasting.

4. KT3-Sheri Lynn, white/yellow flesh, very good, medium to large fruits, one of my favorites
5. KT9-Lindsey, orange flesh, one of the best tasting of the orange flesh, larger fruits than Big Jim.
6. KT2-OCBC_Keiko, unreleased white flesh seedling. Very good to Excellent tasting, round fruit, much better than a Mogi or Argelino.
7. KT6-Lisa1, white flesh, highest brix (22-30).
8. KT23-Lenox, white/yellow flesh, excellent tasting fruit.
9. KT26-Michael1, white flesh, highest brix (21-29).

If anyone has the passiflora quadrangularis ML (PQML) growing, I'm interested in buying 2-4 cuttings.

Here's some photos of the tree and fruits from previous years.
This tree has been fruiting for 10+ yrs, it is a large tree, produces fruits regulary, but not as productive as my KT1-Kosmic. Fruit has orange flesh, size is medium to large fruits, taste is very good. It is not my top 10 list, but is in the top 20.

I will be taking advance order to buy item #4 below, a new seedling variety called KT23-Lenox.

The fruit has white/yellow flesh, very juicy, very good to excellent taste. Nate says it's a good one.

If you want just a few loquat varieties then I suggest you graft the Big Jim (orange), Jim's Big White (white flesh), KT1-Kosmic (highest fruit production) and KT23-Lenox (excellent tasting).

So if you have not purchased these two seedling trees, I highly recommend you buy the KT1 and KT23 to add to your tree.

---> These fruits below were banged around by the wind and was hitting the other branches and block wall so they have some scratch marks. If they don't get knocked around, the fruits are nice and pretty like the ones above on the tree. They still tasted good.

This sale is for the Estee loquat cutting. It has white flesh; it is on my top 5 best tasting list. It is also one of the giant loquat fruits. Taste is excellent, juicy sweet, can't go wrong if you have this one. It probably is the best large size white loquat that I have tasted so far.

Since I will have only 10 cuttings to sell/spread around. I will do a raffle for you to guess a number, and the first 10 people to guess closest to the number when I end this raffle will have the opportunity to buy 1 cutting next week.

This tree is an established tree, large, has good form, about 12 ft tall, growing in ground for over 15 yrs.

I have this variety grafted on multiple in ground trees and have been tracking the flavor every year for 7 years since I grafted this one back in 2016. Taste is very consistent, when ripe it is one of the best white flesh, not many other will taste better. I would not be selling any scionwood of this variety, but I met the owner of the mother tree this year and he let me take cuttings from his tree. My grafts are too small to take cuttings.

Seedling 20, Estee, white flesh, large fruits (100 grams), and taste is top 5. There are not many other loquat varieties that tastes better than this one. The others which may have more sweetness (higher brix) is my seedling varieties.

I have permission to sell some scion wood of Estee so that we can spread this variety to the hobby. Profit will go to the owner of this tree, less cost for me to ship it. Limited quantity of 10 scionwood for sale at this time. Maybe next year there will be more available.

Since there are some interests in the dwarfing nature of FD and using these for rootstock, I will document my recently planted FD seedlings. I separated the seedlings after 4-6 wks to monoembryonic and polyembryonic seedlings by visual inspection.

You can look at the photos and make comments, but please don't side track my post where I'm just documenting the growth of these seedlings.

I just planted out my seeds from the Flying Dragon tree I have, here's a few photos of the seedlings. They look very similar to me. I have many other varieties grafted on the tree and another tree 10 feet from the FD.

I have new photos of the seedlings I will post later when I have time. They all look healthy, the polyembryonic seedling do have irregular size seedlings but I did not see anything special, just very small seedlings or larger ones.

I will post some photos later tonight. This year I had many fruits on all of my Red Himalayan trees, they taste good. The White Pakistan/Australian Green fruits bunches as usual, everyone loves this one. My trees are huge now and need to cut them way back.

Since I have not seen many people post about their contorted mulberry tree, I thought I would take some photos of my grafted branch and show you what it looks like. This tree is pretty unusual in that the branch is all contorted, I read some people use the branches in flower arrangements.

The fruits of the contorted mublerry is very sweet, what a surprise it was. The last few years it only had a few fruits on each branch that were very small (1/4"-1/2" long) so it was difficult to taste it for flavor or compare it to other varieties like Shangri La.

This year my grafts have full size fruits, and lots of them. The size of the fruits are 1/2-3/4" long, taste is very good, sweeter tasting than the Shangri La, Jan's Best World's Best, Tahi Dwarf, Tice, Oscar, Silk Hope.

If you grow this variety, please post some photos or make your comments on the taste of the fruits.

I heard that the name given to this contorted variety by the lady who found the mutation on her tree is:

For Mother's Day, I picked the last of my ripe Valencia orange to make a Mimosa for my wife.

Some of my mulberry fruits are starting to ripen so I wanted to share some photos of the ripe fruits I picked. I will put up the photos soon today.

The following mulberries are ripe here in SoCal:
1. Thai Dwarf/World's Best
2. White Pakistan
3. Australian Green
4. Saharanpur Local
5. Shahtoot/King White
6. Red Himalayan

As far as I can tell, the four white long fruited mulberries above are the same variety. The fruits are the same size, taste, and color. But I do notice there are differences in growth of the branches/leaves.

I only have the Red Himalayan fruits ripening and do not any of the other red long fruiting mulberry (i.e. Skinner, Taiwan Long).

If anyone has ripe mulberries, please share your photos and describe how you like the taste/flavor.

Once my mulberry trees are done with the fruits, I plan to cut them all back a lot so if there is interest, I will generate an Advance purchase list for the mulberry cuttings so it will make it easier for me to just contact you when I cut the branches and then you can pay and I will ship. There are some rare/scarce varieties that I will not be taking cuttings yet since my grafts are too small.

Anyone growing seeds from citrus fruits that are variegated?

I remember Laaz mentioning that most of the variegated fruits seeds will end up as albino and die and only a very few varieties will not be albino. So I decided to try and germinate as many of the variegated citrus fruits I can find this year.

I have a neat variegated Satsuma fruits that I germinated seeds and all of them (100%) germinated as albino seedlings. Very interesting that the small seedlings are still alive after a few months. There were some that started to die but half of them is still alive.

If you have any variegated citrus fruits you are growing, please take a few photos of the seedlings and post it here. I have 3-5 different seedlings starting to grow so I will post them soon..
