The flavour is sweet, with a texture of Lucuma or Canistel. 







I actually expected this tree to flower in about 5 years being in the highlands...also this tree didn't even drop a single leaf during winter
, compared to my 10+ year old tree, which did slowly drop them leaves
Looks like a bit of love(irrigation and fert)...goes a long way
I also planted a tree from the same batch of seeds, in my orchard in Calheta, which is double the size now...though, I didn't see any flowers the last time I was there...hopefully, this tree will start to flower soon








This method is very easy and can be used for any fruit tree you wish to propagate...it has been down to kumquat and stonefruits, with flying colours
This method is great for hot and dry climates, since it keeps the graft cool and moist






) and cut 1 inch long sections is enough...I like to fold each strip in half, for extra ''strength'' for binding the graft




when the shots get at lest 10in...the bottle can be carefully removed..I like to use a hot wire to remove the bottle.
