Are these seedlings Bael Fruit?
« on: March 21, 2023, 02:50:06 PM »
I've looked at leaves online but don't feel confident I've made a match. Seeds were from Fruit & Spice Park, but I planted so many different things and lost labels in the storm. Is anyone growing Bael Fruit? Thanks!

Picture This says cocoplum or pond apple, if either of those helps.
As far as plant ID apps go, picture this has been pretty good, but not perfect. (As proven by it's 3rd option, Strangler Fig. Any chance you carefully planted six strangler Fig seeds? I'm thinking no.  ::)

Thanks, Satya and Jordan321! Cocoplum is a possibility, but the leaves seem rounder in a Cocoplum? Satya, did your seedlings have thorns on them (mine don't)? Did the leaves have a distinct aroma when crushed? I haven't checked leaf smell, but will if it's something that would help figure out what these are. Thanks for your replies!

If the leaves have a strong smell, my guess is the pond apple. Annona's have stronger scent than many trees.
