« on: June 21, 2015, 09:36:54 AM »
Went to the Fairchild mango festival in coral gables fl a few years back and had a scuppernong mango. Holy sh** delicious!!  Looking to buy a scuppernong mango tree but super hard to find.  If anybody has any leads I'm all ears!  Thanks :)

we have  2 Fairchild mango variety, 1 golden glow(this variety is also delicious, firm and large), 2 haden? variety, and 1 gouveia variety.

we got all of our mango trees from local garden stores

I have a similar experience with a variety called provost. No one has it for sale anywhere! It's too bad Fairchild doesn't sell budwood. Good luck with your search  :)

they absolutely do.  You need to contact fairchild farm and tell them you want to get some provost budwood.  I bet they have a tree at fairchild farm if they have the fruit at the festival, at least in my experience.

Oh well that's good to know! Maybe the OP will able to find some scuppernong through this method as well  :) Thanks for the tip!

Update: I emailed Dr. Campbell and scuppernong is not part of the Fairchild collection. I did find this picture which seems to suggest that it is in the collection at the Fruit and Spice park:
