Consider also growing some seeds out in case you can find scion for grafting onto them. I did this and got a bunch of scions from Marta / reallygoodplants.com and now have a nice grafted tree
Some nice sized trees for sale here in CA, but quite a drive for you. Getting a specific grafted cultivar will be more challenging. I know Nate on here, aka Wildlands Plant Nursery in Santa Cruz had some great grafted plants for sale recently.
Few weeks back I purchased an "Apollo" variety from PlantingJustice.org. On their website they say they have that variety instock. Unsure of where you might get a substantially sized one outside of the usually vendors but best of luck
I meant the mexican cream guava fruit is sold in stores and you could plant the seeds from them.
But yeah I also bought a "mexican cream" plant from lowes and it turned out to be a delicious pink guava which is what I was actually looking for anyway!
Aren't they commonly sold in stores? I would think you can plant the seeds.
I tried once and mine didn't sprout, though.
I have bought a fet "Mexican cream" at big garden stores and they were hard green fruit that never ripened.
