weight of pouteria sapota seed?

hi again, someone wants me to ship 10 sapote seeds to Israel but i think it might be too much...what is the weight?
should i limit this to a max of 5?

thanks! so in theory i can keep it under one pound and send it...not sure how i will control the sound in this case. maybe i will put paper between the seeds.

I’d say there is a big difference in the size of Mamey sapote seeds. Our Pantin variety has very small seeds. Depending on how long it will take to get there I think I would send with moist coco fiber.

I weighed the three I got from the Fruit and Spice park and they averaged 28g, crazy to hear they can be triple that. Big seeds, I'm curious to see what they look like when they sprout.  I saw a few sprouted coconuts so I guess somewhat similar

I crack them a bit and take them out of the hard shell that almost always works for me.


For some reason i remember the seeds being much bigger than that..most fruit had 2 or 3 seeds. i remember it being one large seed but few fruit had that. These Zapotes were so big tho. Bought 10 zapotes and got 22 seeds :S only needed like 10 seeds my bad.
