WTB Garcinia/Rheedia Budwood
« on: June 26, 2022, 09:40:49 PM »
Hey All-

Due to my recent interaction with NissanVersa and his amazing G. brasiliensis fruit I am actively on the hunt for budwood for the Garcinia species below-

G. acuminata
G. brasiliensis
G. celebica
G. humilis
G. indica
G. kola
G. sp. "Lindero"
G. livingstonei
G. macrophylla
G. mangostana
G. sp. "Mandrono"
G. vleerackeii
R. aristata
R. sp. - this is the unlabeled one from Fruit and Spice Park in Miami if anyone wants to go snip

I have a small lucs I can ship to youI had imbe seeds but they are all sold.
Id suggest looking for g.hombroniana- its my favorite garcinia fruit! Ive been fortunate to eat around 8 different types of garcinias lol I have to brag coming from someone who lives in TN!
Ive stayed away from the genus somewhat as they are slow growing and some are ultra tropical!

To clarify-

I have all of these plants and am looking for scions from a mature fruiting (preferably hermaphroditic but I'll take what I can get) tree in order to decrease the amount of time to fruit

Ahh thanks! I believe they are desperate species as discussed previously and on fb. I could be wrong though. Good luck with grafting. I failed with g.mangostana to lucs. Take of achacha to seashore and lucs on brasiliensis
