You'll have better luck with cuttings. You can just clip off the end of a branch, stick it in the ground, and pretty soon it's shading your house and raining down Cap'n Crunchberries.

Well that'd work too. Tried from seeds once and did get several sprouts. Unfortunately rats must have thought they were good snacks and gnawed them down.
