Dragon fruit plant pot size?
« on: November 19, 2019, 11:52:03 AM »
How small is the smallest size pot that a dragonfruit can thrive in? With two plants per pot? Ive seen 7 gallon all the way up to 25.

I have one from seed that's tallest stalk is about 3ft tall and it is still in a 6in terracotta pot.  Seems to be fine

Others here probably have a better idea

I have two years old dragon fruit plants in 15 gallon pots that are fruiting right now.  It was planted from cuttings.  I would recommend 15 gallon pots or bigger.

So 2 in a 15 gallon pot sounds like a plan.

All mine are in 7 gallon pots, so two in a 15 gallon should be fine.

Yes! I planted two cuttings in 15 gallon pots, and they are doing very well.  My Mother-in-Law has them in 15 gallon pots for about 12 years now.  They are still fruiting like crazy...about 80 fruits from 4 pots.
